Bout time this referee Amashukeli got a grip, probably two other occasions he could/should have carded Leicester players.

Harry Potter with some speed on his broom

    Deserved MoTM award for Ringrose.

He's the best 13 in the world.

This is like an exhibition finish with all the no look passes.

Putting the 50+ on them, great stuff.

Leinster pack got on top in the end, but there was parity there for much of the first half and Byrne's distribution was really top drawer, control the game very well.

Leinster backline terrific and pack started to steamroll in the second half.

Hope the injuries aren't serious for the run in.

Ref was very good overall. Decisive, stamped out cynical stuff, fair within the laws, encouraged a flowing game.

I think he had a firm grip of a very physical contest without making himself the story.

Leinster's fixtures against the better European sides seem to be following a similar pattern. We'll pressure them hard in the first half and even if the score line is tight at half time we really pull away from minutes 50-70. Happened against Racing at Lansdowne and again tonight.

Is it simply a case of relentless pressure and greater fitness leading to the win?

Baird in a sling but looked very relaxed after game, looks like no break.

Only team in Europe with no Salary Cap beats a team with a salary cap

They couldn't afford to keep their English out half Ford while Leinster can pay 4 international outhalves

    Financial fairplay?

Very happy with how our pack went. Thought we contained Leicester's threats very well. Can't remember Jasper Wiese being mentioned that often by commentary.

Their current outhalf won the World Cup lad

Can you not just enjoy an impressive performance without the but but buts...I'm sure you were grateful to all these players when Ireand won grandslam. I get it that people are jealous of Leinster, but other teams have to get own houses in order. Take it you are a Munster fan.

English rugby can hardly claim a lack of resources.

Pretty sure none of the URC teams have a salary cap

LOL, will you go cry into a pint of Carling. That entire starting pack for Leinster came through the academy, you look like a clown complaining about fly-halves when Leicester have world winning Pollard as their starter.

Leicester also have Argentina's captain at hooker.

Its great for Leinster that they can stand down for the next couple of weeks. Send the reserves to South Africa while people recover from that game.

I wonder how Leinster will split their coaching resources for the South Africa trip.

I'm embarrassed for you. Leinster of all teams, have more home grown players than any team. Do you think Leicester are under funded?

Salary caps have nothing to do with it. If you had any integrity you'd apologise.

    Well that was rather easy

  • Registered Users Posts: 324 ✭✭roverjoyce

Why couldn't Connacht afford to give Delahunt a contract to keep him

    Marmion gone as well

Rugby in Galway for the non Rugby person is gone because of this inequality of funding

If they not careful Ulster and Munster will go the same way

That is why the League of Ireland is booming

You spelled "thats why Irish rugby is thriving" incorrectly.

Dunno if that was an easy win exactly. Leicester did very well to nullify Leinsters driving maul and they also made a mess of the ruck in the first half.

In the second half Leinster pulled away, but you'd imagine that the likes of Toulouse will be targeting those areas Leinster struggled in. Leicester didn't have the quality to keep it up, but that isn't a problem for the French side.

Thought 10 points flattered Leicester never mind 20 odd.

Really hope the Baird injury was just a bad stinger. He was trying to put pressure on it a couple of times with the physio so hopefully it's not a break/dislocation. He is a difference maker at the moment. Had a great start to the game.

The game was won in the first half. Leicester had to empty the tank to stay in the game. Wiese was blowing out of his hoop early in the second half. Surprised he wasn't replaced earlier.

Am I right in saying that the Leicester 13 is a winger? Was a mismatch with Ringrose in any case who was outstanding. Jimmy O'Brien had an exceptional game too. Quicker than I thought he was.

Furlong looked sharper and there is still improvement in him. Only blot is the number of knocks but you'd hope that we can get the majority back in time for the semi's.

Uhhhh! All the provinces have no salary cap! Duh

  • Registered Users Posts: 116 ✭✭Juventu4

Love Ryan's new found aggression, has really turned into a nasty b@stard on the pitch which is brilliant, he had a reputation as a nice guy but that's long gone.

Don't fret! There's more Leinster players heading out to Galway.
