    A few points on this.

Goodman was a coach with Samoa BEFORE he joined Leinster in 2022, and I think it's pretty obvious that one of the conditions for joining Leinster was that he would be part of the Samoa coaching squad for the RWC.

Goodman wasn't the only leinster staffer with Samoa during the RWC. Brian colclough, our video analyist, was also with Samoa for the RWC.

Goodman has spoken about how much he enjoyed the RWC and how much he learned as well. Putting a business head on, Goodman was carrying out cpd and should be a better coach for the experience. Leinster should benefit from that in the longer term

And finally, teams like Samoa etc cannot afford to be paying full time assistant coaches, so benefit from coaches coming in part time from clubs. So should those who have be benevolent to those who have not? Personally I think we should. There was plenty of coaches who were linked to clubs at the RWC with the islanders

I don't know? It's a good point, benevolence and such. But it probably at Leinster's expense.

It's up to Leinster to rescue this weekends European fixtures.

    Same as it ever was.

Fingers crossed for Clarkson tomorrow. I hope he plays a blinder!

    Leinster will win tomorrow

Munsters scrum got minced today and they were lucky to get a draw.I think we will struggle in d scrum as we always do at the top level with Alatoa and if there are more than a few scums each half to them we will lose,

We have quite a few players with a point to prove tomorrow. Equally, each of those players (Big Mike, Jordan, Will, Harry, Robbie) are all gonna have to have big big games if we have a hope of winning.

Glad to see Harry Byrne and Will Connors starting in a big European Cup game. However I think Leinster will be seriously up against it this afternoon.

This is not a make or break game, very tough to win away to La Rochelle. It's a long season and we are bedding in a new coach, however there will not be much between the teams. A lot depends on how Harry plays, they will target him big time.

It's pissing down in La Rochelle. Looking at a slugfest today.

I'm shytin bricks. Hopeful and fearful.

Weather looks brutal. I reckon LAR will target Larmour with a few high balls.

I was just watching the lineups there and when I seen the centres, Henshaw and Ringrose, all that came into my head is which one gets injured today.

I wonder how many times they've played together over the years. They are a great pairing when both are healthy.

    This will be crap anyway

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

    That ball was out

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,183 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Botia absolutely did not try to play the ball. Cheap shot on JOB.

Ryan asking for a YC? That's a good way to rub the ref up the wrong way in that situation.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

    Skelton in front there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,183 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Skelton wasn't offside when he gathered that knock on?

La Rochelle constantly infringing at the breakdown.

    And now starting scraps.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

Not seeing what Mccarthy has done wrong there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,183 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

That's an utterly nonsense yellow for McCarthy. Don't know what he's being penalised for.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

    That's BS from Carley.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,704 ✭✭✭clsmooth

Ridiculous to card McCarthy for that. Danty pining Sheehan down, McCarthy got him off him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,712 ✭✭✭✭AdamD

This is some clown show reffing. La Rochelle should have multiple yellows

  • Subscribers Posts: 41,794 ✭✭✭✭sydthebeat

Joe Mac needs to be squeaky clean for the rest of the game.

That should be another yellow for LAR

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,183 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    Another offside penalty conceded.

Carley needs to bin them again.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

    That's another YC
