As refurbishment of my bedroom has come to an end, first thing to buy have to be... not bed but nice audio system. Thinking about mini hifi but as i fell out of the business i have no idea what trends on the market are. I don`t need any wifi capabilites or usb. What i need is to be able to connect it to my laptop and to sound as best as possible.
    Appreciate for all advice

    Thanks for the post sin_26!

If you're looking for a good sounding mini system without all the bells and whistles I would recommend the Denon DM41. It's a small, compact unit with CD player, Bluetooth and an analogue and digital input! This paired with a good set of speakers would give you a great sound!

I would recommend a pair of the Monitor Audio Bronze 50 which sound amazing!

Let me know what you think of this type of set up!

    Kind regards

    Hi David

    Thanks for reply.
Thing is that there is nothing i would say about it as im not in a position to listen it in my bedroom. It ticks all my boxes (maybe except rear ported speakers as they probably will need to be placed very near of wall) but i`ve also found that you have other good reviewed speakers in MA Bronze 50 price range:

    - Monitor Audio Bronze 1
    - Dali Spektor 2
    - Q Acoustics 3020i
    - Elac Debut B5.2
    - Klipsch R51M

    And for tenner more...
    - Q Acoustics Concept 20
    - Q acoustics 3030i

Would you mind to tell why you did picked MA Bronze 50 over all the rest?

I`ve just seen combo you selling:
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-14287-yamaha-crxn470-monitor-audio-bronze-1-walnut-streaming-cd-mini-system-and-speakers-with-speaker-cable.aspx

What`s the difference in sound department as it`s cheaper than set you mentioned and player alone is more expensive as it`s have wireless streaming function. Is that Denon are superior soundwise to that Yamaha?

    Regards

    Hi sin_26,

thanks for getting back to me!

The Bronze 50s have a better cabinet design than the older models and in comparison with any of the other speakers I've heard in that price range they have better clarity, control and soundstage!

The Yamaha is also a great unit, it has Wifi streaming as well as a Bluetooth output (it doesn;t have a digital input though) and the Bronze 1s would be a great match with it! In terms of sound quality there isn;t a massive amount of difference between them but the Yamaha does have more features including app control via Musiccast!

Let me know what you think!

    Kind regards

    David
