If we're doing requests, no Sports at all would be great.

A whole round on Soaps instead would be absolutely fantastic.

I’d never heard of that malone fella but seeing as he has a nickname, I thought wrestling was my best guess.

Yay, I wasn't the only one who thought that!!!

(Only catching up now, this reveal makes for a very entertaining read :D Even if my score doesn't :( )

I like how Rainbowtrout and I somehow managed to get the same answer for the "Of the 52 matches played at the FIFA world cup in the USA in 1994, how many goals in total were scored?" tiebreaker question which
    a) suggests we did some maths,
    b) both our maths attempts were flawed and
    c) why is Rainbowtrout at the top of the leaderboard and I'm a mere bottom-feeder :P

Stage 2 will begin today. It will contain the same categories as stage 1 and both groups will have the same questions.

I am pleased to announce now though that there will be a requests round also. So, shoot me some topics of interest on this thread and they may appear.

I am absolutely kicking myself over the scrabble question. Had K, was sure it was K, talked myself out of it. Raging.
Only off by a year for BB too annoyingly. And a question - did the EU states one include the UK or not? Coz I said 26 which was apparently wrong.

My proposals for topics for Stage 2 would include:
    lyrics to musicals
    lyrics to Backstreet Boys songs
how many times in a day do my cats yowl at me?
    anagrams
    dingbats
    music lyrics

Ooh a good dingbat round would be fun :D

I went back and checked the EU question because you made me wonder :D I had said 27 and never considered Brexit :o but they were still in until end of 2020 and the question said 'As of 2020...' (not that I noticed at the time, phew I can keep my point)

Well the UK officially left on the 31st January 2020. So I took 'as of 2020' to mean, from the start of 2021. If you took it to mean from the start of 2020 then the 27 is correct.

Only a small point really and I'm not gonna throw a wobbler over it. The question was just a bit ambiguous.
