The Tube map question comes up in lots of quizzes and I always guess. It’s probably not that difficult to learn them all but I can just not be bothered. I’m not even sure I’d be bothered if I was living in London.

I know some of them for sure (ones I've used lots), and then I know names and some colours but I don't know which goes with which, so I just guessed :D

So does the Henry VIII question but like hell can I remember more than one or what order they were in :pac::pac:

That one too. I could name them all but I don’t know the order apart from first and (hopefully) last.

Have set myself up for a fall there.

Do you need to answer the tie breaker questions now or only if there is a tie breaker?

I haven't had TV for years and years so was floundering a bit but I had a really unbelievably lucky break today...I was in a hospital waiting room and there was a TV on...

I did a last minute change. I wouldn't mind too much being wrong, but if I was right at the start and changed over to a wrong answer...oh that drives me nuts!

Think I got 9 from the first 10 questions (thank you sport knowledge!) Then went downhill pretty sharpish. From the bottom 20 I think I knew 3 or 4 answers and the rest were pretty much guesses

Any sense of optimism I had after yesterday's questions has been torpedoed with today's set :(

In, best I could do anyway. I hope I don't look like too much of a dope when the answers are posted.

This (along with a good few of the other questions) came up recently in one of the rubbish evening telly quiz shows I'm hopelessly addicted to.

I really, really need to start paying a bit more attention to them! :(

Bit tougher than yesterday (always was going to be with sports in the mix), but don't think I fared too terribly, plenty there that I'd be confident in anyway... All that useless knowledge I've retained coming in handy... :pac:

Entries sent. That wasn't so bad, actually; knew a good few of them and the ones I didn't know were ones I could at least make a (hopefully) decent guess at.

The "first video on MTV" one is bugging me though, because I know I've heard it before and just can't recall it now. I made a guess that sounds like it could be correct but also could be horribly wrong. :o

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,454 ✭✭✭✭Kolido

Guys, a quick question. We have a late entry, I have no problem letting them play from today. However I have also no problem with them answering yesterdays questions and giving them fair crack at it. Would everyone be okay with this?
I know I set deadlines but I don't want to turn anyone away where possible.

We obviously won't be able to accept any late entries after stage 1.

I couldn't resist googling this, and am pleasant surprised that although I was wrong (as expected), I at least hit the right decade!

Hadn't a clue on that one, just took a stab which is most likely horribly wrong :pac:

I enjoyed those questions more than I did yesterday's. Still doesn't mean I got them right, but I have better educated guesses for some of the ones I didn't know.

I had a similar problem where I know both the first video for the US and the European launches, but couldn't confidently remember which was on which... Haven't checked it, but hoping I went with the right one...

I may have misread the question - I know the US launch, that is what I answered. Don't know if I know the European one so wouldn't have made a difference.
The sports questions really killed me though. They were terrible for me. All guesses. And probably all wrong guesses.

We were made to learn essays in Irish about random world leaders in fifth class (This was around 1989). One of them was Margaret Thatcher. Some of those sentences are still stuck in my head in Irish. :pac:

Rugadh Margaret X Roberts i míle naoi gcead fiche cuig.......:D
