That is woeful defending between the two Scottish lads but brilliant stuff from Henshaw following up on it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Scotland deserved that for the ridiculous slap down of the ball after Henshaw challenged Hogg.
    Ritchie I think it was.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,503 ✭✭✭swiwi_

Does anyone else think henshaw didn't ground that? Reckon what you think is the ball is actually his shoulder.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,353 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

That started from Ryan's lineout steal too.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,098 ✭✭✭UAEguy2020

Because it’s not clear nothing will come from the kick

It’s pretty bloody clear nothing will come from it.

That kick right there is the sort of kick that will threaten the Scots.

Henshaw's work rate there was insane, won the aerial battle and then followed up for the try.

Pack working their socks off, Lowe very impressive so far bar the somewhat unsympathetic pass from Ringrose.

When you have penalty advantage, yes you should do a lot better than what Sexton did.

7 point opportunity was wasted by the captain of a team not scoring tries.

Big difference between a planned play and auto pilot booting it every time we get advantage

Penalty advantage is exactly what gives you the opportunity to go for a high risk play like that!

    Mad stuff on here today

It gives you a chance to go through the phases and run high risk passing plays, not boot it immediately like he has an awful habit of doing.

    Excellent defence from Lowe.

Hilarious. 13mins into the game. Was like a random fella on the street trying to chase an Olympic sprinter.

Some solid defensive decision making by Lowe there

There's a difference between kicking it 22m and 5m out. On the 22 you try something because you've got the kick anyway.

5m out when you're edging towards the line and they're infringing it's a waste to kick it away and then be happy with the 3 when you can just keep doing what's clearly working with a good chance of a try coming.

And if the kick had slipped through and a try scored people would be singing his praises. What the fact he is captain has to do with that play I have no idea.

You don't think teams practice cross field kicks when they have an advantage?

Or take a chance at scoring a try right away, score 3 points as a worst case scenario, knowing you’ll have the ball kicked back to you straight away.

That's a penalty to Ireland no?

Watson was cleared out but played the ball.

Penalty advantage also gives you time to take a few phases rather than kicking when it's not on. It was awful play by Sexton and he does it a lot on penalty advantage.

Missing touch is b0ll0x at this level.

Criminal not to find touch there. So frustrating

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,098 ✭✭✭UAEguy2020

Starting to worry here, we are looking beginning to do what we did in Cardiff and taking our foot off the gas and allowing the opposition. We need to swing this momentum back to us pronto!

    Ah right ok.

Awful play! Let’s move on, not smart to do anything other than ignore ****e talk mid-match

There were a few horrific passes from JGP there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,838 ✭✭✭Cluedo Monopoly

It was obvious GP was going to be blocked on box kick.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,353 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Second steal of the game for Ryan.

    High on JGP there, no?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,008 ✭✭✭leakyboots

Silly by JGP, there was noone with him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

    Terrible from JGP.

    Awful selfish decision making.

  • Registered Users Posts: 471 ✭✭Piehead

Sexton’s decision making capability seems to have deserted him completely in the last few seasons

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

FFS. Gibson Park running into the forwards there.

But Ritchie was playing it too.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,366 ✭✭✭yerrahbah

Not rolling away by Scotland there surely

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,046 ✭✭✭blackwhite

Tackle looked borderline on JGP there - support needs to be faster still though

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,170 ✭✭✭testtech05

Thought Jamie Richie was lying on the ball a bit too long there on JGP but poor execution from the back of the maul.

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 8,143 ✭✭✭fitz

    F*ck off, Hogg.
