Not rolling away by Scotland there surely

Trying to wrestle the ball away on the ground

What has John Cooney done to upset Farrell? Gibson-Park is too inconsistent at this level.

Same thing he did to upset Schmidt, whatever that is.

That's two head coaches that have some sort of issue with Cooney.

Sexton’s decision making capability seems to have deserted him completely in the last few seasons

That was a good decision. All momentum was with us.

    Hindsight is a great thing.

I haven’t heard Will Connors’ name mentioned once.

Why do Ireland always turn down points.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,488 ✭✭✭✭lawred2

Was that not a tackle before the ball?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,353 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    Ryan is terrorising their lineout

    Nope. Just confused lines

    Came off Hogg there.

Why did Beirne throw that ball away? There’s a time and a place and that wasn’t it.

Knock on in the tackle missed there

The last 10 min has been a complete, sloppy mess from Ireland, bar lineout steals.

Wasn't really a pass he just fired it randomly into the air

Surely Hogg knocked that on. Ireland should have scrum 70 metres down the pitch

That turnover wasn't on Beirne 🙄

Another baffling decision by Sexton, handy 3 pts on offer to go more than 1 score ahead. Have to take them when they're on offer

The breakdown is a mess already. Scots very late rolling away but are being allowed to do it.

Dupont was considered a God when he did it against us tbf

Poite needs to do better than that so close to the line. I'd have carded Ritchie for holding on in the tackle that close to the line.

Little breather now is well timed. This is good overall, we've settled well, know what we're about.

So CJ is dupont now after firing a ball into the air lol

Stander pass to Beirne looked forward ...

Pattern emerging of Ireland under Farrell, very good and awful within a match.

I'd have no confidence they'll improve. Any improvements have come from POC.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,353 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

We're playing with a lot of ambition in transition which is nice departure from what we've seen recently. But our phase play is still quite poor. All very side to side with little penetration.

That turnover wasn't on Beirne 🙄

    Did I say it was?

He threw it up in the air, Stander had to reach and it was just completely messy.

The rucks are a mess already. It’s a free for all.

Any player would feels hard done by getting called for anything at this stage. The kick is in their favour.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,098 ✭✭✭UAEguy2020

Lol we are getting absolutely nothing from polite today...gifts Scotland a pen on their tryline when it really should have been an Irish pen, ignores a knock on their from Hogg and then ignores all the Scotland players being off their feet at the ruck...

Not quite what I said but anyways

Those kind of box kicks are beyond pointless. Giving possession 10 yards away with only an small chance to retain.

    Twinkle Toes Tadgh Furlong

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

    Awful pass from stander

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,353 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    Double sidestep from Furlong.

Then a crap pass from CJ ruined it

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,230 ✭✭✭A-Train

    Lovely by Furlong

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Can we just make a moment to appreciate Furlong beating two players. He looks more like Hayes used to with every cap.

Sexton is playing like a drain. Also using up valuable game time to give crucial experience to an outhalf who will actually be at the World Cup

Ringrose is having a poor game.

Very unlike him. Not good when Gatand is in attendance.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Big Dugan hit hard twice there.
Best way of dealing with him. Can often go quiet after it.

    Prob a knock on here

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,230 ✭✭✭A-Train

That has to be a knock on by Hogg but terrible from Ireland

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

    Jesus fúcking Christ come on.
That can’t be a try ... can it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,008 ✭✭✭leakyboots

Lowe is an absolute dumptruck pace-wise. Silly from Ringrose too with the kick

    Ffs Ringrose.

If this is ruled out Ringrose is a lucky man. Awful decision to try kick that.
