Just like Wales we get ourselves in a great position and once again we completely take our foot off the pedal and let the opposition back in the game and now we have a much bigger task on our hands as they now have their tails up...

Lowe has played well, but he was definitely jogging back there. Don't think he was alone though.

Far more concerned by Ringrose though. He isnt at it at all.

    FYP

Yep, loads of people watching just waiting for a "mistake" so they can pile on.

Blaming Lowe for that is super weird

The lack of urgency is the issue. You need to be delivering a lot more in attack to be jogging back in defence like that.

    Absolute rubbish....

Tell me what exactly you've seen that ia so poor from Lowe.

He showed a complete lack of urgency, which he has done several times before. POM beating him to a chase back, Furlong bursting a gut before him to stop a try in his corner and Keenan (I think?) there trying to get to the ball before him

The try wasn't his fault but his complete lack of urgency/pace to get to the ball in defensive situations is worrying

All Scotland now, once again in playing the ref better again.

Bar the lineout Ireland are poor everywhere. What does Catt bring to the table at all?

  • Registered Users Posts: 78 ✭✭Muligatawney

Usually a big Ringrose fan but he's completely off today. Henshaw keeping the midfield respectable.

Lots of handling errors from both sides as well.

Snuffed out a Scottish try earlier in the game by bit committing early on Russell and forcing a knock on with a good tackle.

That Scottish try wasn't on him.

The tackle when he turns his back and was assisted by Ryan?

The kick is right at him. At test level you need to do more. He hasn’t had a good game yet!

Beirne has become such a valuable player. So good to see.

Getting overpowered by Scotland in a scrum...is there any depths we won’t sink to?

Nice from Earls and Beirne, need to make this count now

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,230 ✭✭✭A-Train

    A great turnover by Beirne

    Great chase by Earls,

Ireland playing like 2019. 3 years on still garryowens box kick etc.

    Won’t win against decent opposition

He seemingly ran fast enough to be there to get the ball. Where was Earls, if we're criticising someone? It was his wing.

But Lowe was only beaten by the bounce. On another day the ball lands in his arms.

Beirne and Keenan been our best players so far for me. Ryan good at lineout time too

Kelleher would add another dimension to this team

That is a fantastic kick and turnover.

More of that needed, we need possession in the Scottish half for a while, starve them of ball until they cool off a bit

    Big kick, gwan Jonny

You said he was the second best player on the pitch...that is absolute rubbish...pity you can't see the folly in your post

Earls earning that central contract money.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,353 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    Torn on our attacking performance.

We're kicking on turnover ball too often, but it's a fully working. If it's something we've identified as a Scottish weakness then that's great. Just don't want to see it every game.

JGP is stinking the place out today, another awful kick

    Need Murray on ASAP

It’s all good to kick the ball as long as you can get it back, so far it’s been working so I’m cool with it.

These ****in box kicks would sicken your hole.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

Think we need to pull the plug on JGP and Lowe after this 6N.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,230 ✭✭✭A-Train

Too easy for Scotland just have to wait for Ireland to cough up the ball or a penalty. Terrible terrible stuff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,880 ✭✭✭✭mfceiling

Christ this is a poor watch.

Back to basics and less of this just fcuking the ball around and hoping for the best.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,619 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

Kicking the ball away all the time. Why?

I'm liking Earls work rate. The last 2 passages of play from him has been really good. I would love to see more of it.

    Yeah, what is Murray doing!!

    Oh..hang on.....

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,442 ✭✭✭its_phil

He seemingly ran fast enough to be there to get the ball. Where was Earls, if we're criticising someone? It was his wing.

Earls got the ball off the turnover from Stander and passed to Ringrose.

He was nowhere near the ball on time. Ringrose at fault for the try, but the laissez-faire attitude from Lowe is part his game that needs to go.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,353 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

What was the pont in that kick from JGP? It's clearly a pre-planned move as well. We were in a decent position to launch an attack as well.

Yet again there's not enough ambition in attack.

Another? His last led to a turnover and penalty?
