My father bought a Prize Bond of two units back in October 1981
He recently died and I'm wondering how to proceed
I sent a letter with the bond doc to the Bank of Ireland on the bond
Was returned to me several months later, unopened with a "Gone Away" sticker on the envelope

How can I go about making a proper claim for my father's estate?

    Go to https://www.statesavings.ie/prize-bonds

Click redeem a prize bond - it's at bottom of the page.

Fill in the form, enclose the prize bonds and they'll send you back the €12.70 value for the two of them.
