    Having small children opens your eyes to things you’d never imagine could happen.
    Something in your favour though. Landlord is legally required to provide fire extinguisher and blanket. If those were there it would have reduced the damage caused I’d imagine.

    They’re only obliged to supply a fire blanket and smoke alarm, not an extinguisher

    I see this kind of statement alot. As if the landlord was going to pay that in tax so its ok. But its not as simple as that. It would be the cost @tax rate thats what they would have actually paid in tax.. The balance is out of pocket.
