Loin/ lump of ham wrapped in some sort of baking paper plastic stuff. Do I leave it o

    I bought a lump of ham for bacon and cabbage.

    I took it out of the wrapping but there's still a bit of grease paper / plasticy stuff around it. I guess it's to keep the nice round shape.

    However are we supposed to boil it with this stuff on as well? Or take it off.

    You can boil it with on. It's just to hold it together as you said.
