book of title for development

It seems when I purchased my apt I should have been supplied with a book of title for development i assume (not sure but assume) the book of title for development is a legal document which came about when the apt complex was built/registered...hence I contacted the management agents but they have no memory of ever have…

anyone have any idea of where i can find said document and is said document important if selling the property
