Welcome to Boardsies Greatest Irish No.1 of the 80s

235 songs have topped the Irish singles charts during the 80s, arguably the greatest decade in music.

Now it is time to find which is the greatest as voted by Boardsies.

Format.

The song which spent the most weeks at the top will get a bye into Round 1
234 songs will battle it out in a qualifying round, with 117 songs going into Round 1
The 10 best losing qualifying round songs will also join Round 1

A quota and time limit will be used in the early round, I will specify this before each round.
