Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was using the 1.0.1 version worked fine up until last week, not just get black screen. Tried reinstalling, clearing cache/data, nothing working, looks like they disabled it. It was working pretty much perfect.

Just tried to open it on shield and black screen. Cleared data and cache and same thing

Have it on TV but handy to have it on shield

    Take it no fixes..

The danger for RTE was widespread use of a properly non-ad functioning version of the Player would expose them as being technically able to provide a great Player but not doing so as they wanted to fill it to the gills with lashed together ads to make it unusable.

Official. It's not updated recently afaik.

The only thing I do is clear the cache etc if it acts up.

Got the black screen last night but cleared data a few times & it's working again. Think it might been an issue with their site rather than the app itself

What version number shows for the app on the store?

2.1.9b shows inside the app on mine but the apk is 1.0.1. an old android TV version that works on firesticks.

On the shield I can see no way of seeing the version number in the store.

Actually when I go into settings on the shield and look up the app there is a version 1.04 com.twentyfouri.tvbridge.rte what ever that means.

I don't have it on my phone because it's abysmal on that. But in the Google play store I see a version 3.5.4

Two apps for it in playstore.

    air.RTE.OSMF.Minimal For android phones
    Current Version 3.5.4 Updated 24 February 2021

    com.twentyfouri.tvbridge.rte For Android TV
    Updated 4 November 2020 Current Version 1.0.4

Extract apps from playstore with https://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/

Have you used that site before corkie?
Is it just scrapping all the other hosters, it's giving back v103 instead of 104

Think I tried 103 before & it wouldn't work, I'll give it another go

^^^ Not for this app, but have used the site in the past, maybe an outdated resource now?

    Try here instead https://m.apkpure.com/rt%C3%A9-player/com.twentyfouri.tvbridge.rte

It's not on there either, checked it before too.
they've just updated the version number there's no actual file uploaded for it.

someone on the shield thread might extract it via adb
Latest I could find was 103 & it wouldn't work on firestick though

v101 actually works very well, except there's no live TV but I don't really care about that.
Hopefully those recent issues are temporary.

Downloaded from play store on shield and open up okay but I didn't sign in. It was old version 1. something. Then tried to open again and black screen.

Downloaded updated version from apkpure and side loaded it and same thing black screen

..aaaannnddd......mines no longer working. Same version. Tried everything including a reinstall again same version. Goes white then black..

Still working on the OH Android. I won't install it on my phone on principle. The principle I only install software that works.

In fairness that's impressive. They've found it worked on a different platform and broke it there to be consistent across all the rest.
