Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Fcuk Kenny, he's useless, he should go now, resign

You just can’t beat that never say die spirit.
Just pack everything in after one game.

Why stop with manager? Maybe FAI should resign from FIFA.

Mitrovic is a 15 goal a season striker most seasons tbf.

Granted he's having a quiet one this year but not sure about some of the faux shock on here.

McClean definitely has made an impact since coming on, didn't even think he was fit.

Like the first, he scrambled weirdly position wise - looks weird. But looking at where the header actually went? Nah, I don't see a keeper getting to that tbf.

Camera angle looked weird, but header went fairly straight down the middle.

Lads a team of Ireland's quality has absolutely no business being at a World Cup anyway.

That's bitterly disappointing but it's honestly where we're at right now. It's going to be a long road back.

Hendrick for Molumby was a baffling switch. Even Stephen Kelly, who thinks everything Ireland do is fabulous, calling it out on commentary.

    Nice determintion there from Long.

I am actually staggered that there are posters in here who think that we had a chance to qualify for the World Cup. Lads it isn't the early 2000s anymore!

Of course we had a chance.

This was a close game even though its 3-1. If we get a goal it will be a shaky last few mins for them.

We are going for it now and playing way better. Both defences looked very shaky. They went for it in the second half and got the rewards.

    Surely Kenny will go now?

:pac: Not at all. They've played well

Is there any chance we can beat the first man at corners? Still can't believe professional footballers can't take corners. (This goes for 90% of PL players too)

Honestly, what? How could you be struggling to find some positives from this?

Been impressed with Ireland in this game - nice passing and positive play.

We've been undone by a big mistake by our no.3 keeper for their 2nd goal. All 3 of Serbia's goals have been great finishes.

Sacking Kenny is nonsense, really, based on today's performance.

Portugal 1 and Serbia 2 was always the most likely outcome to this group.

    Oh, 3-2!

Of course we had a chance.

    Look at the squad.

We don't have a decent midfield or a goal scorer in our team. You are going to very upset when we play Luxembourg in a few days.

Second goal was a typical goal from him, contrast to the first one.Ireland’s heads dropped now. More goals for Serbia if they want them is my feeling.

Jayus I spoke too soon. Goal from nowhere made by auld Shane Long’s hurling background chasing lost causes

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Whatever happens, it's good to see us knock in a few goals. It will give us confidence going forward now that the drought is over.

Second goal was miserable in fairness.

Not sure the ‘confidence’ thing should ever be brought up as a thing of ‘ah ya the lads will be confident now’..

Not one of them can cross a ball in

Two terrible efforts there by McClean

Rare example of a move that suited none of the involved parties.
