Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Benetton might regret leaving so many points behind from the tee though.

Pen try. 20-8 at the half. Excellent stuff from Treviso

How many starters are the Bulls down?

    About four

Vermeulen, Van Staden, Morne Steyn and Trevor Nyakane

Benetton well worth their 22 point lead.

    Bulls look so disjointed

Seeing this game just annoys me even more that no Irish side took this competition seriously. It's an easy trophy on offer.

Beginning to think Benetton would have beaten the Irish teams anyway!

Cracking finish. This is a ridiculous scoreline, love it!

    Delighted for Bennetton.

They did though. Ulster and leinster had euro to focus on too but still fielded decent sides for most part (injury allowing). Munster fielded pretty full strength while mixing in some youth and Conn looked to be taking it plenty serious when they beat munster, just couldn't defend a maul in previous games.

Treviso playing a great brand of rugby and taking Bulls (plus rainbow Cup opponents) on on their own terms. Glad to see that they approached this game in the same manner as rest of RC

    🤪

Benetton wouldnt be in the final if one of the Irish team were.

Well yes, I was being facetious.

Though I don't know how you can watch this match and your take away is "If the Irish teams had cared we would have won this easy". We should be focusing on the exceptional performance from Benetton.

They have been brilliant and played very open style

    Delighted for them. Thoroughly deserved

Imagine what Benetton can do during a regular URC season without missing the Italian starters?? Garbisi can only get better..

Seriously needs to work on his goal kicking but otherwise absolutely stellar performance.

Glad Benetton won. They did everything they were asked to do, I don’t think the Ospreys would have beaten them they way they played against Connacht and The Bulls.

Munster did. Turned out not an easy trophy on offer

I’m actually quite happy an Benetton got to the final in the end, this win will mean a lot more to them than it would have to an Irish team and hopefully this is the catylst for Italian teams to give it a go next season.

The scenes of the Benetton players celebrating with the trophy tells you how much it meant to them. Never underestimate what a tournament win means to the players involved, whatever the scenario may be. Didn't Cian Healy get his nickname from the Churchill Cup?

Delighted for Beneton, many including me questioned Italian rugby , glad to see them finlly get some reward , hopefully they can push on, and mount a proper challenge now internationally . Think things are improving overall in Italy.

That's a great result! Fair play to Benetton.
