Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi folks, just moved in to home with solid fuel central heating system, and there beside immersion tank have circulation pump. I have no idea how to use it, and couldn't find manuals for it.

So its Oasi-A pump, typ RS 25/6 EA.
Could somebody explain how it is working?

A bit unlogical for me, if I switch on thermostat to higher temperature, it switches off, and switches on when twisted thermostat to on around 30 degrees... Radiators barely get warm.

it operates from the stat which senses the heat from the back boiler

usually around 50/55 is the setting for the stat

too low and the pump will start circulating too soon too high and the water in the boiler will get too hot and start banging and gurgling

set stat to around 50 to start with

is the stat close to the back boiler

Also maybe change the pump from Auto to CP1 or CP2 as 45W indicates a very high circulation rate which may cause the stat to switch in/out rapidly and a power output of ~ 20/25W might give a more constant heat output once the stat set point is set up although if its a long way from the boiler then maybe difficult to set up properly.

Hi guys. Thanks for info. As system wasn't really used, we gave good bit of stove heat, I've bled rads, and open one turn more for higher flow. Seems to be working good now.
