This is terrible altogether. Really, really poor.

And yet if we get a goal it'll all be forgotten :(

As someone said above, they seem to want it more.

Amazing how so many of these lower tier nations always look so comfortable in possession compared to us.

I think more of our passes have led to Luxembourg chances than anything else.

Along with the ball we have given them confidence too.

I really never though I would see an Ireland worse than the Staunton era however here we are.

He had some quality players at his disposal in fairness.

Sky must be delighted they get this on their main sports channel for a Saturday night

Luxembourg starting to really take hold of the game here.

Don't look like scoring. Luxembourg could win this

Might lead to people buying the boxing.

What the hell happened at half time? This is really concerning.

Robinson didn't bother looking up. There were two free men in the box.

I really never though I would see an Ireland worse than the Staunton era however here we are.

That was a good side that was badly organised by a poor manager.

This is the culmination of years of under investment in the sport by Delaney and his cohorts and it isn't going to get better any time soon.

    Glazers Out!

Knight made a lovely interception there to set up Robinson for that chance he blazed over. If we are to snatch a win, I think it will be Knight who does it ...

They're not even that good, which is the worrying thing. There will be much tougher opposition to come in the years ahead.

They are genuinely better footballers than us.

It's what happens when you've got a full time football academy with 12 years training five times a week in a professional set up. You become better on the ball than lads that probably trained two or three nights a week at the same age.

63% possesion has created ONE shot on target for Ireland.

At least that was a shot by Robinson.

Push up on their goal kicks. Why isn't Kenny changing this?

20 mins left now. Last 10 mins since I said to attack we have done nothing

I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say our keeper has probably been our best player. Against Luxembourg. At home.

Most of these smaller countries FA's are investing in academies to improve their squads. Fecking Northern Ireland has an academy and we don't. This is on the FAI, not even Pep could come in and make this squad tick.

The Irish squad is filled with hard working but limited players.

Fine overhead by Collins, not far away.

If I can take the green-tinted glasses off for a second, Luxembourg are a likeable team. Good attitude, no drama and well organised.

How we are 42nd in the world is anyones guess.

After this campaign we'll be down a fair amount of places in the world rankings.

    Glazers Out!

    Passing is so so poor.
Might as well bring Duffy on for the free kicks we seem to be winning second half.

    Brady gets some stick.

    But he creates chances
More in 25 mins then all the rest put together

Ball was crossed, basic skill executed which almost resulted in a goal. Need much more of that.

I’m all for progressive football but this isn’t it.

No tempo, half a press and not committing enough players forward when in possession.

    Really, really poor
