Offered free knives in car park

Met a lad in Tesco Rathfarnham car park today who offered me a "free" set of kitchen knives. Said he was just finishing up a promotion and had a couple of sets left over. Said he'd be happy with just the price of a pint for them. Explained I didn't carry cash and he suggested going to an ATM but I declined. Anyone come…

Just curious as to where the travellers come by all these knife sets?
Is there a supplier somewhere especially for travellers selling knives?!

I got that in the Lidl carpark in Coolock with a traveller trying to sell a Jamie Oliver knife set. I assumed this was a regular enough occurrance.
