Absolute showtrial to stop the city burning

Nah. He was guilty as sin and is a cold blooded murderer.

Justice served. Hopefully this serves as a deterrent to all the cops who couldn't care less whether they take someone's life by excessive and unnecessary force.

Especially happy for the resident conspiracy theorists here in CA who believe everything is orchestrated by the lefty media. Soak this one up.

Can you imagine what trump would’ve been saying if he was still the prez

    Still peddling this bullsh*t.

He's a murderer. Signed, sealed and delivered by his peers following a fair trial.

    Guilty guilty guilty.
Very surprised. I thought he was caused Mr Floyd's death but wasn't familiar enough with every detail to know if it was all 3 counts.
But the jury sat through every day and every shred of evidence.
So I think they know what they're deciding on.

Guilty on all three counts. I was of the opinion that he’d be found guilty of one of the charges but not all three.

Going to be interesting seeing all the posters defend convicted murderer Derek Chauvin while at the same time calling for harsher sentences for murderers in Ireland.

Right decision. But unfortunately there will be grounds for appeal thanks to that congress woman.

I bet they won't be though.

    Nah, they wont.

Some of those will still try to tell you they aren't racist either.

Oh please. Chauvin is where he belongs. Delighted.

Perhaps the cops will think twice about aggressive macho posturing. The US police force needs a serious overhsul.

Fairly satisfying seeing the handcuffs being put on him there.

What a scumbag, has shown zero remorse.

In fairness, all those people were lining up excuses on why the verdict would be a fix no matter what.... And weirdly, a fair few of them tend to just hold incredible questionable views on black people in general. Basically they wanted to hold Chauvin up as some hero or some crap.

Yeah Floyd was a piece of work alright

He didn't murder anyone though, unlike Derek Chauvin.

Nobody held up chauvin as a hero, he deserved manslaughter but this verdict is insane

    No surprise really, systematic attitudes...

Mobile phones and social media have come of age with this verdict IMO.
I'm old enough to remember police officers videotaped beating Rodney King yet being acquitted.
There is always the sense in the US that power, position and race will skew verdicts even in light of overwhelming evidence.

This case, it's prosecution and in particular the effort that the Minnesota AG made to prosecute the case matters.
That the Police themselves offered copious evidence against Chauvin matters.
That a criminal has been convicted and sanctioned matters.

Qualified immunity needs to end and a fit for purpose policing act will hopefully be the other fruit of this case.

Mr. Floyd died because his heart was too big. You heard that testimony. And now have seen all of the evidence and heard all of the evidence, you know the truth. And the truth of the matter is, that the reason George Floyd is dead, is because Mr. Chauvin's heart was too small

    Quote.. Jerry Blackwell.

Didn't expect him to be found guilty on all 3 counts. I presume his defence team will immediately get to work on an appeal.

What must be going through his head, life down the toilet for a few moments of madness.
