Its ok on Sky but not on RTE for me anyway

I like the way we are attempting quick counters when their possession breaks down.

    Something new.

Do they get to play all their matches at "home"?

I think we were supposed to be in Dublin tonight, but because of restrictions it switched to everyone's favourite covid-football country, Hungary. Which happens to be Qatar's European base for these qualifiers.

    RTE fine for me.

    Yep.

    Yep

It seems to be Keith Andrews shouting all the instructions from the sidelines.

They were meant to be playing in Dublin tonight but fixtures were switched. Don't know if Luxembourg or Azerbaijan done similar by switching a home game this window to a later date.

The fact we scored makes this one of Kenny's best games regardless of final score.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,570 ✭✭✭The White Feather

When RTE gives up thats a really bad sign........!!!

    Still frozen on it.

Its a ransom.....Don't sack Kenny and we get RTE back. :D

Qatar have a corner as I type. phew. came to nothing

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,640 ✭✭✭TheCitizen

We look to be fading a bit already.

Not the case. Not lacking for effort. Quality not there.

We've got nothing from this ref.

I'm just hoping we get battered here and I'm optimistic. Pointless game against a nothing country who have no reason to be playing games in Europe, it would be a perfect end to this Kenny joke. Send him back to the Eircom league and hire professionals only in the future. Looking good

We are so shıt. Really, really shıt.

They are actually not that bad. Could cause Luxembourg a tough game.

They already beat Luxembourg last week.

Well they did win the Asian Cup, and as mentioned they're a glorified international club team with all their players based in Qatar and how they've been naturalising players.

The way some people talk about Qatar you'd never know they were ranked only 15 places behind us and are the current Asian Cup champions having beaten S.Korea in the quarter finals and Japan in the final 2 years ago.

    Need some subs here

they have been building this team for the last decade with no expense spared.

A big like Ireland from 88 to 90.

I hope just hope this is meant to be a wind up

Stephen Kenny IS a professional. And has been in football a long time.

He’s on half a million in this current job for example. He is not on that type money as some sort of mistake.

I’ve been working closely with the Qatar Stars League for a few years now and they’ve genuinely been taking grassroots and domestic league very seriously. They’re not a bad outfit.

Christie looks tired. Should be off a while ago. What's Kenny at here? Worrying stuff.

Not a bad effort from that distance.

Me and my 5 aside football team would be 'better than expected' against this current Irish squad...

A big like Ireland from 88 to 90.

I wouldn't say that, just Google Aspire Academy human trafficking. The lads basically bring pre teens into the country from places like Africa, Asia and Central America.

If he’s not going to bring any energy or enthusiasm, Kenny Cunningham might at least learn the players’ names. “Bazuno” indeed.

Yep, they've also invested heavily in their U23/Olympic squad and have also played in the 2019 Copa America and set to take part in 2021 Gold Cup in this summer.

They're like the Asian Spain! Most of their squad comprises of their top 2 club sides - Al Saad and Al Duhail.

I expect there to be cliques and an eventual meltdown! Manager sacked on the eve of the WC, etc...

Must be amazing to have enough money to keep moving your country to 3 different continents

How is it a wind up. He has been in football a long time for the likes of Longford Town. Got Dunfermline relegated. Got a draw once on the Europa Pot I think. What has he ever achieved in professional football (leagues with full time players)? Genuine question, not a wind up
