Aye, gauranteeing a lottery win is one total contradiction in terms

Apparently if my family and I went to the seaside when I was a child, I made a beeline for the slots or the thing where the money falls down the moving shelves.

    I was a child addict seemingly 😄

Nowadays I actually hate going in there. The arcades feel claustrophobic to me with no natural light. Bowling is the same, I hate the artificial lights.

My news is I had a Papa John's pizza this evening. Vegetarian. 🥰

No win here, so moving to the Euro millions that served me well before! But I need a bigger win. I promise I will share the mother load and disappear into oblivion if its a lighter load. May all that try it, win it! Happy that I had that stew earlier. Its keeping me going.

Ignorance is bliss, I'm not checking my ticket, I couldn't take the reality. I also only do the euromillions usually, 3.50 is enough to spend imo. I'd say there was a huge amount spent on tonight's draw, something definitely doesn't add up about the whole thing.

Watching Tommy Tiernan here, always had the hots for Gabriel and he still has it.😉 So unfair the so many men improve as they age, I'm definitely coming back as a man.😄

@[Deleted User] I could not see any attraction to Gabriel Byrne whatsoever. He's very intense.

Just back from the barber shop, this time no shave so mask stayed on.

Will leave to another hotel on Tuesday for another rotation of quarantine, should be 3-4 weeks :):) Its kinda like 2020 around here, nothing changed. But at least i get to work today so will see some sky.

Missus is a big time foodie, she craves the hottest sauces that you can ever imagine, so for her not to have her taste/smell sense is a major annoyance to her.

We have always known that the vaccines aren’t to stop you getting COVID, but to keep you away from hospitals and serious illness. Somehow i see next autumn we shall be offered the 2022 booster to protect us for the winter, then the 2023 / 24 / 25. I hope that at that stage I’m outta quarantine :):)

Jeez @smurfjed that sounds bad 😳😳

No lotto anxiety here as I didn't play 😁

Deskside, having a complete Nerd moment here after noticing that my weather station had registered the shock waves from the recent volcanic eruption in Tonga. To think that an event literally at the other end of the planet would be strong enough to trigger a measurable, if small, disturbance in air pressure in a closed apartment is quite frankly mind-boggling 😮 🤓

Oh, and stocked up on Nespresso as well ☕️ 😉

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

Oh yes I did see someone mention that it registered here on seismographs (sp) here.. The satellite view of the eruption is quite something. Must go looking for other footage later.

I'm currently working on a blog post to collate everything but I'm honestly surprised this isn't being covered more. There's every chance that yesterday's eruption was on the scale of Krakatoa, if not larger. The the island formed by the volcano has effectively ceased to be and the two closest islands have been reduced to mere rocks, if radar satellite imagery is anything to go by.

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

Have you noticed the rise in barometric pressure too so?. I agree, a huge event.

I'm no weather expert but I met a chap today who said he could notice something on his barometer. 😯

Said chap was met on a change of plan walk. Couldn't handle the Wicklow mountains, but ended up on a tougher trek. Got dropped in Castletown, Westmeath and walked the rail trail to Moate. 16 feckin kms! All flat, but long. Mrs G and Ms G went into Athlone and were waiting on my aching legs in Moate station with a big ham and cheese salad roll. A really nice amenity and probably more suited to bikes over a stretch like that. Mid roll, I got chatting to the barometer man and yes it is truly amazing that after effects could be seen in this part of the world.

Home just before dark and we are all tired. Takeaway is incoming. I'm suppin a beer and the ladies are watching the Book of Boba Fett. I'm up to date on it.

Yes. Small, we're talking about a 1 millibar fluctuation, but definitely noticeable. The first shock wave was registered by my barometer at 18:43-44 on Saturday, while a second, more chaotic shock wave hit at 1:20 this morning. Keep in mind that this fluctuation was recorded inside with most windows closed, so any barometers in the open, such as the one I've linked below in Cobh, would have registered a stronger disturbance.

Note: The tweet above does NOT show my weather station 😉

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!
