Fair play to you for managing 2 levers Mam, don't think I'd be able for that tbh.

Well what can I say? You are lucky to not have a lawn as it's a seasonal pain in the hole to maintain. I got at it earlier than ever this year. Earliest cut I've done, The incoming frost will keep it dead and short enough for now. Soooo....as for not getting the ride Grem, well I don't know what to say to you.:D

Where has time gone ?? Scary

Freshly showered and cup of chamomile tea in hand, chilling after a great day meeting three friends - my best mate at 2pm in the Phoenix Park for our weekly walk, then an old acquaintance I had lost touch with a few years ago and who FB messaged me out of the blue and it great to catch up after all these years.

Bumped into a family friend on the way home from the park who last saw me when my drinking was close to its worst in 2016 - she couldn’t believe the changes in me (for the better) and was thrilled to hear and see how well I am doing in recovery.

Work tomorrow, but sure you know what? Life is good. :)

    Long time no hear.

Hope everyone is safe and well and coping as best they can.

Visited my Dad for the first time in over a year.

He looked ok but his language and memory skills have very much deteriorated.

Appreciate your voice, use it, speak out, for one day it may be gone.

    Keep er lit.

Long long long day yesterday, saw this strange sky as we came back, I can only guess it’s the gap between the ground dust layer and moisture layers, but it was a physical black line.

I've seen that a few times over Europe back when I was still shuttling between Ireland and Germany to visit my parents. It's even weirder when the sun's coming up and that line is blood red

Anyway, deskside and working away. Wondering if I can borrow some dragons? There are some people that I'd like to explain the facts of life to, and a fire-breathing lizard would be just the thing to make sure they get the key points!

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

I could be wrong but that looks like the village in Laois I live in. In fact yes I'm certain of it. If ya look closely you can make out the closed down post office and the auld mans pub beside it. Laois is beautiful at night, very Las Vegas-esque in all its cosmopolitan glory.

    Home office, deskside, working away.

Popped over to the local corner shop for a litre of milk and it is Baltic out there.

@ Smurfjed - looks very like Los Angeles as seen from the Santa Monica mountains. :D

If you don’t mind me being nosy - where are you based? In Dubai? Seems to be in the Middle East. :pac:

How will ATC respond to a request to fly 'via a glitch in the matrix' :p

( Also, has potential as a response to the thread title )

I’m curious, if it was a glitch in the matrix, what would have happened if we went up again :):) would we have ended up in a Covid free dimension :)

@JK, it’s Riyadh, which is basically where I spend most of my time these days :):)

Hello all. Grumpy remaining in hospital for a further 24 hours. He's not in any immediate danger but something is up with his ticker so they are monitoring him as they go through the possible causes and eliminate them till they figure it out. Apparently, he is in good form and has reported being "happy out". Such a cheerful man, said the nurse. She seemed surprised when I told her his nickname is Grumpy.

I'm relaxing. About to have coffee and digestives. Feel purpousless.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,617 ✭✭✭✭Mam of 4

He's in the best place Sardi , and it's great that they're keeping him in until they get to the source of what's causing the issues with his heart . The feeling of helplessness is awful I know , but try take the time for some "you" time , rest, pamper yourself, whatever it is , just look after yourself also that's all .

Just had a coffee here .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,262 ✭✭✭✭Autosport

Sardi now is the time to look after yourself and as Mam said Pamper yourself, have a Me day :)

I’m in great form today and heard a song I haven’t listened to in ages and it was what I needed to hear :) I hope your happy now :)

    Law against online harassment.

Have been woken up by a heavy lorry taking a wrong turn and coming up the driveway instead of where he should have gone, so now he is struggling to turn. Sitting in bed watching him about to flatten a corner of helpless daffodils. Guess today will be for gardening.

    Good morning everyone!

It criminalises the sharing of intimate images...revenge porn, making nudes private etc.

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators, Regional West Moderators Posts: 61,002 Mod ✭✭✭✭Gremlinertia

Ooh still don't know what way is up.. Think i'll just let things roll whatever way they must, painkillers, tea and telly for now.

    What’s coco’s law?

Cocos Law creates two new offences which criminalise the non-consensual distribution of coco-pops. The first offence deals with the distribution of boxes of coco-pops without consent and with the intent to get the recipient hooked on the chocolatey goodness that only coco-pops can provide, the way you become all happy as you munch, crunch and chew those little chocolate covered Rice Krispie style treats.
The second offence relates to the way the recipient becomes hooked on the manner in which the coco-pops turn the milk all chocolatey, how you sit there gooey eyed and marvel as the pale coloured milk slowly turns to a bowl of chocolate heaven, captivating you in the process. Now you are hooked on coco-pops and will buy them forever more.
Cocos law aims to put a stop to this fiasco once and for all!

This is NOT to be confused with 'cuckoos law', which is a separate law deeming that anyone who owns a cuckoo clock in this day and age is either a very old person or a total nutter.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,705 ✭✭✭The Inbetween is mine

    Oooh, I like cuckoo's law...I'm definitely a nutter :D
