Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm feckin tired. Brought Grumpy out in the wheelchair for an hour when I got back from being vaccinated and I'm still drained from it. Time for a coffee to perk me up.

I'm frozen here. I just got a phone call to say my vaccine is postponed . They won't have it until the end of the week and appointments are the week after, I'm more disappointed about not getting off work than the vaccine delay tbh.

Don't be disappointed, Duvet. We'll all be on to you on Friday in the campervan to take your mind off everything.
Set up the campfire and we'll entertain you with our acoustic REM sessions.
MO4, put down the brush and put on the TV for the afternoon.

Dr Dog suggests you take it as easy as you can for the next couple of days :)

Day picked up, great drying out :)

G&T in the garden. Tis nice.

Rosé spritzer on the patio here. 'Tis nice indeed Trigger.

I real-life-shopped today, my new plant/flower buying thing is borderline out of control, but I justified it by also buying some really nice plant presents for friends, stuff they've admired so hopefully will like :)

At the tech desk all day in wankerville.:D But hey it was nice in a way as yet again I named my price and got it. Back at it tomorrow for the day. Some eejit has a Monday morning deadline after another eejit ballsed up. Glad they all still remember ny number though.:D

Getting Father's Day treatment this evening. A few large bottles of Peroni were produced and Mrs G has the Chinese takeaway on speed dial. Ms G paying for it.
I'll get value out that hair do yet.:D

Dont drink anymore, and if I did still drink, the last thing I'd go for is either G or T. Yeugh. A nice glass of cider, now.....

    Delighted for you G.
I have a techie friend who is basically being paid full time retainer to be on standby this year - "wankerville" don't trust their own, so she's on "we know we'll need you at some point so we're paying you to be our emergency call out" Kept her on €€€ for past 10 months

I was trying to guess what the more mature woman would drink..

I've been invited to dinner next week...to a restaurant with upstairs dining...and B.O.B.
    This will be fun :D

It's great alright. I'm slowly becoming the go to "someone dropped the ball" merchant. And with my tech desk upgrade I don't even have to travel up to Dublin anymore. Tomorrows work will be done in my lounge wear with a fried egg on toast breakfast and then the smell of a roast chicken dinner in the oven.:D

Just home from town, its absolutely buzzing, great to see but I'd say later will be a different story. Wine time here, loving the freedom, no cooking, no dropping or collecting, no worrying about them all being out on Saturday, I could get used to this. Watching the F1, completely chilled.

Exactly Mam, no matter what age they are it's all worry, better off when they're young and once they're in bed you can relax.

Packing my suitcase for five days away down in Kilkenny. My OH is treating me away for this holiday - so so much deserved, I may add :D - and we’re looking forward to getting away down in the Sunny South East.

Quite a few things in my itinerary when down there. In such good form. :)

Sardi, a lot of people I know got their second vaccine in the last week and were wiped out the day after, they were freezing cold headaches and very tired. It's strange how it works, my parents sailed through it but younger people got very sick. Hope you manage to get some rest and keep taking the paracetamol.

Bedside here, it was raining earlier, I should get up and do something but no sign of my mojo, I'll put the kettle on and see how I feel after some coffee.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,409 ✭✭✭✭Sardonicat

DD, give your mojo a day off. Enjoy your peace and quiet.

In bed devoid of mojo too, but want a coffee. It would be great to have room service at home.

Up since 6am, nice brekkie made and eaten, hot shower was had, tomato plants fed and back lawn cut and looking at houses online now.
    Nice morning out there.
There's a LOT to be said for not waking up hungover on Sundays. I wasted too many of them down the years!

I never want to see another drop of alcohol again as long as I live.

We took a spin in to the village around 4pm on 'scoping mission'. There we saw one of our favourite spots with a little beer garden set up. 5 hours later when we get home we join a BBQ on the green. I made a holy show of meself because two of our neighbours are Gardai/detectives. "I love Ted Hastings"!! "I want to be Chief Superintendent Frosty"!!
    :(

    Lord.

An arresting experience* for you, Frostie :D

    * - tag line for the 'I was a morning grouch' TV ad for Little Chip marmalade ( said ad may or may not have been run on RTE before Frostie was born )

Nothing worse than the fear, often sat in the work carpark on a Monday wondering if I should go to the airport and board the first flight to anywhere and never return. 😂 I gave up work nights out a few years ago apart from ones that I left early or just my own immediate work friends, just not worth it.

I remember that ad Olddog, always felt it was about me, the ultimate morning grouch.

Couchside, started a major clothes clear out, have a mountain of them thrown on the landing and then got overwhelmed so left them there, will they actually get put into bags and go for recycling or will the hoarder kick in, anyones guess tbh.☺️

Do you know I've actually never experienced 'the fear' after drink. Its more a case of me feeling like I must have seemed like a right eejit but that's it. That passes quickly. My suffering is very much on the physical side of things. I feel like I've been hit by many buses and its fùcked up my day.
