    Hi.

Just found something strange and wondering can anyone give any insight.

Have a double simmer switch on the wall. Recently out in an LED alexa controlled light so obviously want it at 220v or 0. Dimmer switch was getting hot from time to time before that so today decided to replace dimmer with normal switch.

I've attached pictures of how the dimmer was wired. Notice the charring... Doesn't seem ideal.

Wired the new switch as shown. Copying the dimmer switches layout. (this might be my issue) everything seems to work fine however one of the two wall lights is not switching on. Seems only one will switch on because when I switch the bulbs they each work individually in each socket. Just not both at once.

    Any help great appreciated.

On a side note. Is it normal to have all live wires in a switch?

4 was live. 3 and 2 went to the lights. I assume 1 is neutral? But it was a brown wire. They all were

    Thanks
