Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,
Looking for some advice. I am renovating a cottage at the moment, I have already plumbed and re wired the house. I am looking to slab the house with insulated slab to make the house warmer. Any advice regarding tips, price etc would be greatly appreciated. I am living in Clare.

    Welcome to boards.:)

Not sure if the following tips are what you're looking for ....

Are you sure that using "insulated slabs" is a good idea? Have you considered where the dew point of the new insulated wall might be and what the risk of interstitial condensation is? What age is the cottage and what type of walls? How about your airtightness and ventilation strategy?

Top tip: Spend (invest) some time reading the many many threads in the construction forum on the above topics.
