2 connections question

    Hi all,

Vodafone duplicated my order and I currently have 2 live connections to my house via 1 phone line. I have arranged a cancellation as my Internet drops out frequently throughout the day and I am hoping this is the cause, I only realised when an engineer appeared to install the Internet that was already installed 2 weeks earlier.

My question is, is this possible that the two connections would cause me this issue? Is it likely that my WiFi is intermittently connecting from 1 connection to the other?

Not on the same phone line. Its possible to have multiple connections to a house but each connection is mapped to a unique bitstream id that identifies it.

No, since you can choose one of them to use on a specific device.

Are you talking about 2G & 5G bands? I have Vodafone too, the router isn’t the best. If you’re having connection issues the 2G band should carry further so maybe try to make sure that devices are connected to that. There are other fixes you could look into like installing a mesh system or tp link extenders
