Painting external insulation render

I was wondering if anyone could suggest an approach to painting render over external insulation? The render is a colour pigmented topcoat, I believe the brand is Baumit. Could I just use normal masonry paint or would I need something more specialist? Thanks!

Depends on what render was used tbh. Can you contact the installer to ask what is suitable. Some take acrylics finishes no problems.

It's usually a acrylic finish on them. If it has been done for a few years you would be safe enough re coating with weather shield.
