You can ring in and say you're behind it. Just think of de royalties.
They'd spot this bogger voice miles away. Am convinced the only boardsie who can get past the producer is someone with unimpeachable middle-class credentials

Is this Liveline? I've never listened but will have to now!

I imagined a received pronunciation accent from your eloquent phrasing, it's distinctly not Irish.

A bit of a hybrid methinks, rather like some callers to Joe Duffy's Liveline. I remember travelling in Scotland during early 80s with my cousin who is from the Dublin mountains area by Wicklow border, and local lads asked why we spoke differently. "You're almost English sounding, one said" and "your cousin sounds Irish"; I explained that my cousin was "from the country" (in those days it was "the country"). She took it as an insult and "retaliated" by saying "well may I say you sound very very Scottish".

There was a classic where one of the regular thread Boardsies took it upon himself to phone in and ask Joe "how's the leg"... which is the code word, so to speak, that a Boardsie has managed to get past the producers and speak to Joe. "The leg" is a reference to the break which is over 9 years healed now. A TikTok take of said event...

My Dad died a few weeks ago, he a had a number of near death experiences due to his bad health. He described one of them as like a fireworks display. Wish I believed in the afterlife so I could look forward to seeing him again :(

I'm really sorry for your loss. :(
    Mind yourself.
