Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Stephen Breen would know as he's well in with the guards re his books.

You should have look before dismissing it, just because it's the sun.

If true, the argument for prioritising vaccines for all Gardaí is strengthened after this.

Where do you think the got it from, my money's on they picked it up here.
Vaccines should be prioritized for the at risk of serious illness and nobody else until they're all boxed off, GRA should be ashamed of themselves looking to jump above them, I'd be embarrassed to be a Guard at the moment with their representatives carrying on like the teachers unions.

    We’ll see!

If true, it means these two deserve everything they have been slated about.

If false, these two will get a massive payout from the Irish sun!

    I’ll hold judgement until proven.

Go home you are clearly drunk.
The Gardai should be protected. You wouldn’t send someone to do a road checkpoint with out a hi viz vest. The vaccine is part of their PPE.

    Something up alright...
A number of gardaí are in isolation after a guest staying at a quarantine hotel tested positive for Covid-19.

Independent.ie has learned that one of the recent arrivals into the country, who was required to stay at a hotel, has since tested positive for Covid-19 upon returning to Ireland.

The government must be loving it, the stories around the vaccines being given to people not in line have disappeared. New light being shined on why certain 'friendly' countries with complete crazy levels of infection are not also on the quarantine list.

But you’re a Garda and not willing to put your live at stake in the service of the state. And no doubt expect they’ll risk their lives for you if necessary... you are the one that should be embarrassed.

    Your obsessed.

Is there no story that you can't twist into a whinge about Gardai?

Next up..... Dm is unhappy that Gardai are sitting at home isolating instead of doing their jobs.

The usual ramblings of an idiot. They are a bit disappointed that the supply chain hasn't broken down and the army aren't in the street since last year because the whatsapp retailers group they are a member of assured them it was happening, might also be disappointed that they haven't had the opportunity to use their gun against the fascist Gardai.

Curious none of the papers actually stating it was one of the Dubai Duo

The Indo (biggest tabloid of them all)

The only surprise is Antoinette Cunnigham of the AGSI not on YET on any breakfast show, moaning & whinging, albeit early days, I can sense her outrage already and I live on the side of a mountain in the middle of nowhere.

They had pr people change their stories and legal people issue missives against all media and I also suspect it was issued against boards as the thread was deleted.

But how many quarantine stayers have had contact with "several" gardai.

Puts holes in their "we had 3 negative tests" pr story.

O, I do agree, just find it curious, the silence etc.

But don't forget the 3 who absconded, I assume they too had contact with Gardai albeit it sounded like a bit of a keystone cop debacle with no details of the 3 released to Gardai, ID, photos, passports etc.

The real scandal here is nothing to do with Covid or quarantines.

It is that two individuals totally dependent on social welfare were willing and able to use that support to travel to an exotic location for a luxury surgical procedure.

Meanwhile, people close to me who were employed almost everyday of their adult lives can’t get in front of a specialist for the treatment of painful problems.

The way in which social welfare is managed in this country is immoral.

Will you show me all these stories I'm twisting about the Gardai, you said the same in another thread and couldn't back it up as I don't do it, retail workers are in contact with a lot more people than the average Guard the whole way through this pandemic and they're not crying to get ahead of the at risk or people older than them. Seriously they really need to grow a pair and stop acting like a bunch of toddlers.

It'll be interesting to see if they ever release the numbers of Gardai that have taken the Jab as it appears the police in other countries don't want it even though they were given priority.

maybe they engage in other 'activities', in order to fund themselves!

If true it's a big win for the mandatory quarantine rules.
