I have a Leupold 2.5x20 on my CZ 452 at the moment and really like it's light handy nature but sometimes a bit more magnification wouldn't go astray. I was looking at a MINOX ZX5 1-5X24 but have no first hand experience with them so was looking for a bit of info.

Surprised you have not gotten a reply.

I've used one, once, on a mate's gun and they're a nice scope, good clarity and decent features. The price puts them in the Vortex range which is a sorely sparce price category if you ask me with scopes either on one end of the spectrum or the other (mad money or dirt cheap).

    I have one, ZL3 3.5 - 10x50 with a plex reticle-

    https://www.sportsmanguncentre.co.uk/minox-zl3-3-5-10x50-plex

It was bought to go on my Featherweight 270 that I mainly use for hill stalking but before it was mounted I got a good deal on a 6x42 Smidth & Bender. Could not resist the classic pairing.

The Minox was then held back for a new project - a bunny come vermin / foxing rifle. The main use for the new set up is for dedicated Night Vision hunting but with the capability of changing out for daytime use. So the NV scope is on QD rings and the plan was to put the Minox in similar rings.

To date the .222 is set up with the NV, zeroed but yet to be blood'd and I have yet to set it up with the Minox let alone zero it. The glass does look clear and although it is light weight its stiff and tight in construction. The dials have positive clicks and are numbered (0-7, I think), 1 click is 1/4 inch at 100 yards and are resettable to '0' after setting zero. The plex is nice and fine, an attribute that I wanted when it was purchased first for the .270 as daylight shooting out to max 300 yards was its main intent (don't like to be on the hill in darkness if I can help it). If I eventually mount it on the new rifle I hope to employ the same rational as the fine reticle should be good for rabbit head shots or corvids at distance. The ballistics, still alot to learn, should give me head shots out to 175 yards without any hold over.

Anyhow, not quite the answer you were asking, but would I buy the scope your looking at?.... yes ......that is last year, as I'm looking for something like that for the 30-06...... this year I'd have to do the calculations and see what the VAT and Tax man wants for it now.
