Hi guys....a few years back I bought a Denon Ceol and Monitor Audio bronze BX2 speakers from your good selves....the sound is amazing as you'd expect but the speakers are really big....i'm toying with the idea of going with smaller speakers that are more in proportion with the unit itself and more suitable for a tighter space or on a bookshelf....

Can you recommend a set of speakers that would be modest in price but give a bit of bang for buck and which wouldn't be too much of a step down in sound quality compared to the BX2s?

    Cheers.....

    Hey MarcusP12.

Thanks for coming back to us and glad to hear the system is still working away with no issues.

It will be hard to get a smaller speaker that sounds as good as the BX2's. As you get small so does the driver and the smaller driver the less bass.

You could maybe look at the NEW Bronze range the Bronze 50 priced at 349 Euro but i feel it will lack the bass of the BX2 speaker you currently have.

If you went with something the same size the are the excellent Dali Spector 2 priced at just 219 Euro

Or the brilliant B&W 607 priced at 329 Euro

    Let me know your thoughts.

Hi Kenny, many thanks for the reply....couple of those options are probably outside of my price range but i appreciate that you get what you pay for where sound quality is concerned....i was thinking more in the 100 to 200 price range which i know wouldn't give anything as good as the BX2 but would like the most bang for buck for that price point if i was going to "invest" for no other reason than something more suitable in size.....what about the MA bronze 1? Any good? Do they come in black or is it just the ash, white and walnut? They seem a good price......

    Hey MarcusP12.

I understand what you mean now :)

Yeah I would have said the Bronze 1 as they are just the smaller newer version of the BX2.
The Bronze 1 would be the ones to go for around that price point.

They are only available in Walnut or White though.
