    What a scrum penalty.

Wouldn't have had this game as a poster for the centres. Henshaw excellent in defense, but quiet enough outside of that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 589 ✭✭✭baas baa

Ah here Henshaw shouldn't even be in the picture for Motm. There's such an obsession with him at the minute. This game was won in the first half when we turned the game around, VDF and Kelleher were outstanding in that spell.

    Well done Leinster!

Ruddock knocking on there feels like the back rows 1st mistake in the last 70 mins

    Expecting renal to disallow

For all the talk of Sam Simmonds and how he'll be on the Lions tour he has been anonymous in the biggest game of his season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,752 ✭✭✭degsie

    TMO check? ;)

    Tremendous 70 minutes from Leinster.

To restrict Exeter to only 8 points after those two early tries is some effort.

As an impartial observer it was VdF as clear as day for me, Kelliher was excellent but had a few second half whoopsies.
VdF is the smallest back rower out there and was the clear standout.

    Thats actually an historic result.

Away to the England and Europe double champs. Up there with Clermont 2012 and Toulouse 2006.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,946 ✭✭✭KH25

Reynal probably delighted to chalk that off.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,230 ✭✭✭A-Train

Unreal match unreal performance! After 15 minutes I thought it was Sarries all over but what a performance

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,242 ✭✭✭crisco10

    Porter - you're fired.

    Joke.

VDF, Henshaw and Ruddock. Pick any one

This. He’s a great player but lacks the physicality at the top top level. He’ll score you tries all day at home to Gloucester though.

That’s very harsh. Porter absolutely killed his man.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,620 ✭✭✭✭AbusesToilets

Watch Porter be cited for that

    Devastated for O'Loughlin!

VDF, Henshaw and Ruddock. Pick any one

    Simmonds.

He’s had to play back row and 10.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,353 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

That's one of the all time great Irish provincial performances. 0-14 down to the European Champions after 8 minutes only to go on and win by 9 points.

Might be the best result of the Cullen era. Phenomenal win

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,752 ✭✭✭degsie

No more French refs, end of!

Unbelievable game. Had serious shades of Sarries at the start but fair play to them.

How good was Ross Byrne when he came on?

Bar a missed tackle for first try, Keenan was very influential too.

What a win. Leinster with incredible resilience.

He should be Leinsters starting 10.

Very professional by Leinster this evening, will be hard to stop at the moment

    I will be supporting them

    from a grieving Munster man

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,066 ✭✭✭Richie_Rich89

    Yesssss. Result.

8-34 in the last 70 minutes.

O'Loughlin was very unlucky. The Porter tackle was immaterial.

Some of the French teams will be very difficult to beat in the remainder of the tournament.

Great performance from Luke McGrath today.

VDF robbed of MOTM, Henshaw was brilliant in the second half but VDF did it for the full 80.

Byrne was very good, but the pack absolutely dominated today. He didn't have an armchair ride, but the forwards won this game for us.

Delighted that Exeter are out. I haven't forgotten all their Covid conspiracy bull**** from months ago.

The week off played its part. Defence was non existent in the first 10 but Leinster finished strong.

I think it was tight but yeah I think VdF was just incredible from start to finish. 22 tackles in all. He should have been MOTM.

Phwoah. What a game, the first 10 minutes were absolutely painful, and terrifying to be honest, it was starting to look like the weeks break was going to be our downfall.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,178 ✭✭✭✭Sangre

The biggest downside of this match is that I'm being denied my right to order a round of jaegerbombs followed by obnoxious jumping around.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 108 ✭✭Garda Kenny

Must be sickening for Dalaglio to be graceful about that. Exterior didn’t fire a shot after 10 mins.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

I super enjoyed that game anyway. Proper ebb and flow with two good teams.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,353 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Baxter is very complementary towards Leinster. Says his players made mistakes they almost never make due to the pressure Leinster put them under.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,752 ✭✭✭degsie

Jazus yet wan on BT was sticking it a bit to the Exe coach
