    That's some back catalogue...

It is actually fcuking staggering their hit vs miss ratio considering the truncated career they had, the volume of output they had and the outrageous touring schedule they had.

It says a lot about how good so much of their output was that they're still considered geniuses even taking the likes of Maxwell’s Silver Hammer and Good Night into account.

And that's only the stuff that made it through round one.

I'd never actually heard Revolution 1 before, it really is different. I still liked it though and included it as one of my wildcards, but it was always going to be a long shot.

It’s a nice version alright. Especially if you’ve never heard it before. I loved it when I first heard it but now, I think, it makes you appreciate the “single” version even more.

I’m shocked at the number of ‘Glass Onion’ votes. Aside from the “death clue” the song doesn’t have much going on in it at all.

‘Happiness is a Warm Gun’ is a masterpiece. The highlight of the ‘White Album’ and one of the band’s greatest tracks.

I’d understand it losing out to a more popular, yet lesser, number such as ‘Hey Jude’ or ‘Yesterday’ but even getting run close by filler with a, let’s face it, terrible ending, is just awful.

But ‘Hey Bulldog’ should get through, right??

I just don't like Happiness is a Warm Gun at all. I'd probably vote for nearly anything over it tbh.

Ah, I like the song too. The last couple of lines never worked for me, even though a “cast iron shore” does sound pretty interesting.

I find the verse of Hey Bulldog is reminiscent of Talking Heads' Burning Down The House, while it seems the intro rhythm of All Together Now was borrowed by Gomez for Whippin' Picadilly. I prefer the rip-offs.

Happiness is a Warm Gun doesn't cut the mustard with me either.

It's a weird song alright. I think Emmet is being a bit harsh on it. All the self referential stuff is cool and there's something attention grabbing about Lennon's gnomic ranting and the yeahhhhhhhhh he lets out at one point. And it's fairly indefinable in its own way, which is always interesting.

Having said that I don't really get how one could dislike Happiness is A Warm Gun. The menacing mood and the threatening lyrics, the big dirty scuzzy riff that comes out of nowhere that just screams lowlife dirt, the rapid changes and the over the top do wooing - with falsetto - as he sings about blowing someone's head off. What a fcking tune!
