Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Daithi Burke looks a bit rusty. The goals were sloppy enough to concede.

Tipp managing to keep them out through fouling.

They'd have to be pleased to be only 2 down given that so many players are operating under par. Daithi is well off match pace, Whelan isn't getting a sniff, Conor Cooney still miles of 2017 form. Joseph Cooney not that involved either. Half back line is keeping the show on the road at the moment.

Absolutely Galway ought to be pleased. Think they have the wind to come.

Is interfering with the helmet no longer an offence in hurling?

It's just that the focus has shifted to the use of the 'free hand'
The thrown 'handpass' is also being ignored for now.
Cork's first goal last week a perfect example and the final pass for their second goal looked very suspect too.
Whatever is 'flavour of the month';)

Will you be making an official apology & taking this back in a few days time like John Kiely did? :D

Just on the wides, while the shooting is poor is the wind blowing across the pitch rather than favouring one team? Or my eyes playing tricks on me?

Big time. Always my issue with playing with a breeze. Shoot on sight.

True, John Kiely said as much after his embarrassing outburst.

Mannion did well to stay on his feet after that nasty belt in to the windpipe, fair play to him. Most would have gone down.

    Possible another draw for Tipp.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,269 ✭✭✭threeball

Tipp need this alot more than Galway but you wouldn't think it. Both sides are cat.

You do realise John Kiely publicly apologised for trying to create this narrative you're so desperate to push, right? :O

I don't think either side needs anything out of it in terms of a result.

Conor Cooney should have been gone in the first half.
Has gave three needless frees away for two scores.
Hit some awful wides and has mostly had a negative impact in every possession hes had.

And then he fumbles a ball over the sideline.. if only it was obvious that was likely.

Galway have 4 points after 2 games. Tipperary have 2 points after 2 games.

Galway made 9 changes to the team that beat Limerick which probably tells you how important a result is to them.

I wouldn't have necessarily said that either team needs the win more than the other but a Tipperary win is probably expected all things considered.

Why will it be a huge inconvenience to have the league up for grabs in a championship game they are playing anyway?

Mannion straight red, umpire indicated use of the butt of the Hurley, no replay though.

It's meaningless. A patch up job.

Barrett up to his old tricks?

I don't think the league is a priority for either team, its not a priority for anyone this year the way it has worked out, would be madness to go all out or even close to it.

Mannion gave Barrett a dig with the bas of the hurl, commentators confirmed it there with someone on the line.

Jesus, the game of hurling has changed so much in the past 5 years. And not for the better. Cynical fouling everywhere.

    Hard to watch.

You must have a different feed to everyone else.

Just confirmed there now by Jamie Wall that he seen the strike.

And MOTM for Barret just to add the cherry on top :D

Don't know how they left him on for so long. He turned his back on some puckouts which went directly to his man.

Some amount of wides again. Tough circumstances to have touch and accuracy at this stage

"Buaile beag" a duirt sé. It seemed to seriously hurt Barrett all the same..

Either your Irish isn't great or you have a different feed as well, he said that they both gave each other a 'baulie beag' and then the Galway man went with the but of the hurl - ''Caird dearg é ceart go lóir'' a duairt sé!!

I doubt Galway will mind too much having made 9 changes to that team that beat Limerick last week coming in to this game.

    Both teams were poor today.

Wexford has asked the ccc to postpone their game after another positive case.

At least they can play next week.
