This is what cabinet is reportedly being told of the vaccine programme.

I'm sure someone a bit better at the maths than me can try compare with the population

We needed ~5M doses (2 shot) to reach the 82% first dose and 55% second dose targets set by government previously.

Even allowing for a certain number of 1 shot J&J, 4M still seems low.

Unless they aim to reach the 82% first dose target but reduce the 55% second dose target given the restriction of 60-69 to AZ primarily? In other words, the 55% target will be delayed because of the 12 weeks AZ interval.

For people taking inference from this table, be aware that the discrepancies are very marginal between 30 to 28 per 100. We are talking the difference of hours or a day at most.

The difference between Ireland being at 30 per 100 and not 29 is 50,000 vaccines.

I see we're at day 1 of the weekly vaccine rollout schedule.

This is the day deliveries happen.

It's also the day a lot of posters shout about Saturday/Sundays and 24/7 vaccinations.

By day 5 we're back to 95% rolled out (with holdback for second doses), and the cycle starts again.

It's Thursday and people are shouting about a weeks worth of stock not being used up in the first 2 days :)

    Edit. the

Not true, we are doing 0.4 to 0.6 per day so there is about 4 days between 28 and 30, not hours lol

Apparently the 4m figure for June isn’t true at all. HSE still working on the plan.

And many of the countries have reported to yesterday, where as the data for Ireland on the aggregation sites is only to Monday. Add another 1-1.5 does per 100 for Tuesday and Wednesday

Thanks, I meant to say 1 in 100 would be 1 day or 50,000, 0.5 would equate to roughly half a day of doses.

It can also be a bit misleading in that it gives the impression that this is 29% of the population that have had a vaccination. The people who have had two doses are double counted in this table.

Anyone been offered the vaccine twice?

Got a text from the HSE with an appointment date at a vaccine centre. I have already been vaccinated by my GP back in March.

Except we have never hit a 50k day so 0.5 is not half a day. We are averaging about 0.5 per day over the last month, so 0.5 is a full day not a half day

No the Ireland data is to Tuesday. So at most one day behind

If we are doing 150k this week with over 450k of stock then we have three weeks of stock, not one.

So based on last Wednesday - 0.8 doses per 100k.

Wednesday is one of the 3 busiest days, you have to balance it with the weekend. Currently we are at 0.6 per 100 over 7 days. Taking all of April we are at about 0.5 average

Your maths don't add up. The day not included is yesterday, not a factional average day over the course of a full month. Based on current progress you would reasonably expect 0.8 does per 100 to have been administered yesterday

You are assuming every countries numbers are ahead of Ireland based on dates, which isn't true. I have included the dates on the table for reference. Below is a valid comparison:

    Country per capita Date Reported
    Malta 72 April 27th
    Lithuania 33.5 April 28th
    Spain 33 April 27th
    Denmark 32.5 April 27th
    Austria 32 April 28th
    Germany 32 April 27th

Don't know if this has been all ready posted but some nice real world data on the effectiveness of one dose of vaccine on transmission.

Feel ok after the Moderna vaccine, I was a bit shivery and had a mild headache last night but nothing paracetamol couldn't shake.

Has anyone in Cork 64 or under heard back about their vaccine yet after registering online?

220K-240K is the plan for next week according to Paul Reid, plus a weekend session at the Helix over the weekend for second GP doses.

Brilliant, would it be likely that younger children would follow soon after?

Got my first dose of Pfiizer this morning. Extremely grateful.

You can see how this has been a significant logistics challenge for GPs. When we get through the first 7 cohorts and move all distribution to the MVCs the pace will accelerate significantly.

Brighter days are coming everyone. We will get there. :)

So did I. Was amazed at the efficiency for a 2 doctor practice (which I’d never attended before). Outdoor party tent for some people to wait in etc. I was in and out in 90 seconds as I could wait for 10 mins in car rather than under their supervision. I initially thought this would be a nightmare for practices but good organisation between greeter/seater, vaccinator and card distributor and I was jabbed and out speedily.
