I'm going to say no and no cos the HSE have been abject on Cohort 7 and seem to want them to just disappear under the carpet.
The sound you hear is the sound of running water as they wash their hands of them.

Yep think you are right there.
A lot of young people still at high risk out there and it's all just a numbers race now it seems.

I thought that all high risk were to be given mRNA vaccines?

Preference but can get any that are approved for age group.

Know of group 4s who've got AZ via GP.
    There's no steadfast rule

They could get Astra or J&J yeah if nothing else avaliable (such as greystones today), all depends on how the HSE put the NIAC advise into operation

But they can insist on an RNA and be rescheduled
That happened to 1 person I know at Greystones today who is cohort 7 and in their 50s
    They were very helpful

It's not insisting, it's following the NIAC advice, everyone going in was asked if they were still happy to go ahead. In the greystones situation they clearly didn't get an expected delivery for example so there's a bit of wiggle room.

Someone in their 50s cohort 7 such as the person you know can get any of the 4 vaccines

Someone in their 50s cohort 7 can get any of the 4 vaccines

My own GP said pfizer or moderna for me,a cohort 7 with a depressed immune system
J and j not good enough and Astra too long an interval
I won't repeat what he said about NIAC

Still doesn't change that someone in their 50s in cohort 7 which was user as the example can get any of the vaccines which is the original point.

The GP has decided which suits you best based on your medical needs.

    45 (1975). Don't have a GP.

Can I register tomorrow or is it Sunday per a FF graphic I was sent on Whatsapp earlier?

Can register tomorrow if you want. Should accept it but won't get you an appointment any quicker than if you registered on Sunday with your age group.

The day by day is to stagger demand

No notion. What's the rule there? Again no GP so don't have that route to go through.

Good stuff. Nice to be able to register. Has been a long wait.

Don't need to be in cohorts 4 or 7 to register.

Anyone aged 49 can register tomorrow and so on as the week progresses

You can register right now. Just choose the 50-69 year old selection box and work through it and you will get confirmation at the end that you are registered for an appointment,/date pending etc.
It will accept any DoB older than 1976, anything DoB younger than. 1976 it won't let you register

You're being asked to wait till Sunday.

Hoping for the J&J. "One and done" would suit me perfectly.

JJ or Pfizer. Have decided I will pass on AZ for a variety of reasons.

Mate of mine (mid-50s) is getting the Pfizer in the morning.

Correct,I could have took any but took one with the highest coverage and the quickest to get to that coverage/effacacy
Moderna would also have done the job

I'm 50 in a few weeks but glad I waited to register in the 45-49 age cohort as I can now refuse AZ and J&J and wait for Pfizer if I wish.

Not necessarily true, people are highly misinterpreting efficiency and that's probably due to media coverage.

AZ also performing just as good as Pfizer in real world

    https://twitter.com/sailorrooscout/status/1392896775942443013?s=19

Summary - they're all doing the same thing in the real world outside of trials. The theory that one is better than the other is being disproven as more data comes in through various studies
