Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Murphy has a great 'punching the air game' imo... :P

Most go with the sort of hammer action 'bang bang' straight out to their front - sometimes above their heads..... But Smurph goes with the arm to the side with an uppercut action air-punch,... And he's ambidextrous with it too :pac:

He's definitely no. 1 in the 'stomping around the table' stakes too - Robbo be a distant second...

Was great to see Shaun leaving t'arena.. He still believes....

And 'Bully' (hehe) looking good to reduce deficit early doors here in frame 17.... Mon Stuart!!

Bingham is a maxi maniac lately

Haven't seen one of them little plastic extensions in years

Shaun Murphy is in the audience tonight. This was his reaction to Bingham missing out on the 147.

Bingham the blaggard went for a 147 from early on in the frame and all.
Broke down on the third last red - they were awkward. 9-9 now.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

He will have to take Willie Thorne's old nickname at the rate he is going.

Another head scratcher from the BBC. No idea why they're not showing full coverage tbh. The day eurosport goes behind a paywall will be a bad day.

Eurosport player is 20 quid a year on Black Friday. No brainer for the snooker fan.

Have been lucky enough with streams for now thankfully. Will keep that in mind tho. Ty.

A bit of a contrast this frame

Not sure about Judd commentating, you wouldn't catch djokovic or tiger doing that sort of thing

Top quality exchange this, great shots from both, punch for punch.

Still though, Trump's easy on the ear. Doesn't have a grateing provincial accent like some of the other commentators.

Yeah. I cant quite put my finger on it but there is something about his manner I dont like.

All these top pros starting to commentate. Slim pickings for the the lower ranked/retired lads, prefer to see the top players head off and enjoy their winnings.

Maybe it's just they are limited in where they can go, but you'd think after a long tough season, the last thing they'd want to do is look at another snooker table.

Bingham's stare into the camera there....

I like these tactical kind of frames.

True, but Ronnie fancies himself as a Djokovic or Tiger and he does it.
Even had the neck to pull out of the Masters one year 'for a break' and commentated on it instead!

In a way it is watching the opposition kind of like footballer watching a game.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Ben Williams ref got Selby to hurry up. He was over 3 minutes on the shot.
When Selby was finally down on the shot the ref said that to him.

Bingham in after ages of cat and mouse stuff.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Great to hear the ref Ben Williams give Selby a ⚠️ warning for slow play

Nice to see a referee finally take action about Slowbys time wasting and gamesmanship. He gets away with that carry on far too often.

Trump is easy on the ear and doesn't overdo it. I was surprised to hear him. Is. This his first time commentating?

I can't stand Johnson on Eurosport, for an ex champion he hasn't a clue

You mean he warned Selby that he was approaching 3 minutes and needed to take a shot quickly.

Great match this between Selby and Bingham.
    Selby is rattled

I've never seen a referee give a time warning on a shot like that before

Is there a defined time limit?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,085 ✭✭✭✭BonnieSituation

This has been some frame. Everything that's great about the sport and the worlds wrapped up in an epic frame like that.

Thought it a bit uncalled for when you see that Selby was just about to address the shot. If he had got up out of the shot then warn him but not while hes taking it

No discretion of the ref depending on the shot, pressure occasion, importance of frame and so on.
Barry Hearn the former snooker head man tried to name and shame slow players.

    No they'll use their discretion.

You couldn't be sure if Selby is taking the shot, he bobbles up and down a bit

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56,714 ✭✭✭✭walshb

Selby sure likes chalking that cue!

Selby uses slow play as a tactic. He is painful to watch.

BBC with an atrocious changeover of channels. Missed some crucial shots.

A channel that doesnt even come on air until 7pm on a normal day. It would make complete sense. But sure what do I know.
