Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Brilliant frame and yet you'll have some people say that they hate safety battles. Never understood that.

    Bloody hell, the drama like!

    Some shots out of Stewy.

    Bingham must practice those pots.

That's some fluke on the pink.

There's the snooker gods giving Bingham a break there anyway!
Well, sort of... not exactly positioned to take advantage..

This frame feels massive. I'm sure they'll tell us how long it was. 63 minutes I think Alan Mcmanus said.

Selby must have been practising his vulcan face.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Massive frame again. Selby will be seething he didn't win that last one though.

Extraordinary frame of snooker riveting stuff

    I absolutely love it.

I’m enjoying Bingham’s demeanour at the moment, lots of smiling, seems he’s in great form.

By contrast, the absolute puss on the “Jester”. Not just there but for this entire session.

If I was Bingham I’d keep up the antics with the crowd, cos I don’t think Selby likes it.

Bingham's nickname making more sense tonight.
Great to see him enjoying himself out there tonight

That's all 3 frames of this evening's session for Bingham.

I think Bingham deserved that fluke on the pink after the bad luck he had early on. when he snooker himself behind the black on the pink.

Poor Selby though good chance he gets done by amazing snooker - Two Crucible years in a row,

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

I would even throw in Willie Thorne's old joke if I was Bingham. Shampoo he uses is called 'shoulders' etc

Selby's lost the plot altogether it seems.

Another nice red to the left middle by Bingham. He's playing well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,023 ✭✭✭✭Joe_ Public

Bingham deserved that frame because his safety was absolutely magnificent, some terrific shots and if that blue hadnt gone in pocket, selby was in major trouble. Very reminiscent of 2015 at the moment.

    Selby is rattled
A bomb could go off and Selby's expression wouldn't change...
I haven't seen him play this bad for a long time. Its hard to know from he's facial expressions if he's focused too much or under pressure

Bingham is a breath of fresh air, has the demeanour of a carefree punter in the local and a sublime all round game. And he isn't knocked off stride by cynical tactics from a deliberately slow opponent.

    Four. On. The. Spin.

Hugely impressive. Halfway to a 147. A long tactical battle and a couple of nice breaks. He's done it all in those 4 frames. Full value for the lead.

I'd say Selby is grateful it ends here for the night. Knowing how snooker goes, he could come out tomorrow and blow Bingham off the table. Unlikely but you never know.

Edit: it's a mid session interval lol

This is epic viewing this evening. Thoroughly enjoyable stuff. I really like Bingham’s demeanour around the table, great to see him enjoying it so much

6 minutes 13 seconds got another mention. Neil Foulds loves bringing that up.
No surprise that they supported the ref.

The ref was right.. Fair play to Ben. A lot would have said nothing to Mark there.

Had to pop upstairs and say hello to the missus who has been a snooker widow the past week or so lol

Lost the TV viewing at 8, when the lads were scoreless after 16 mins. What's the latest?

11-9, about to be 12-9 to Bingham. He's been excellent.

edit. Selby is building a break

Alan McManus is such a clueless commentator, he said Binghams last shot was a great one even though he left Selby a pot into the middle with an angle to get on the black, he hasn't a notion what's going on.

And there's not a Granny in the Country switching over to the LLS :pac:

I'd say Bingham is sorry he didn't pot one more ball now, this is torture.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,858 ✭✭✭✭Loafing Oaf

Was Selby trying to pot the red there?

This frame reminds me of when Selby played Ding in the final, and played on needing snookers for about 40 minutes, Ding won that frame eventually, but lost the remaining frames that night.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,292 ✭✭✭tanko

    At last, Slowby playing on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,026 ✭✭✭Peter File

    Selby playing on :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,023 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Well done Bingham! Taking all the big clutch moments.

Not sure why Selby's keeping it going... just trying to shake Bingham out of his rhythm with boredom/frustration?

    Well done Stewie...

PS, it were never 'close' Joe.... White were always gonna collide with pink; either half-ball, or full-on.... JJ should go to Specsavers :)

FFS Selby still playing on

Lovely pot on the yellow to finally put this frame to bed
