Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Rush a blood to the head there from Sean. That was a crazy shot

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,912 ✭✭✭✭gormdubhgorm

Just needs to be careful on his break offs and punish Selby when he makes a mistake, was rooting for Selby but hope Murphy forces a decider

After you saying it Murphy broke off and left the red again...
Missed but still Selby got a handy 'in' after all is said and done.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Was hoping for a little fist pump again there. Mighty stuff from Murphy.

Are we doing what the Brits usually do and claiming him as Irish yeah?

Sure why not - he's a lot more Irish than the folks the Brits usually try to steal are British! :pac:

You do know that he has won frames, including one in the world championship against Hendry from that exact position??

Knew some stat be carted out, I'm sure somewhere someone's won needing 10. That's not the point ,it's the reason why he chooses to do it is........only to frustrate, annoy and wear the opponent down, that's my point.
Rack 'em ref is what he should be saying, win on merit or not at all. It's pure negative, it sickens me seeing it tbf

Marvelous frame for Selby to get to 17.

    Summed up Selby's game:

    1) Win the tactical battle.
    2) Patience.
    3) When given the chance took in a manner that was 'no risk' if he missed it.
    4) Knocked in a century

If people don't understand what 'matchplay' is there is your ultimate example.

    Sounds like Alex Higgins' nightmare

    100% !

    :D

I think although Selby's wife Vicki player pool for Ireland, she was born in Ipswich.

Murphy is an honorary Dub as far as I am concerned.

Bill was a tragic case really.

He could knock in big breaks, regularly did so at the Crucible.

Met an early end in 2003.

This news piece is very sad really, he knew the direction he was heading in by the time of his ban in the late 80s

Surely TUE would have covered for him?

Has to win this frame from here, no excuse.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,912 ✭✭✭✭gormdubhgorm

This is a decent chance for Murphy, should get back level in the frame - worst case scenario.

"1 from 10". Go for it Selby.

    Edit: Boo!

Hendry has a delightfully dry sense of humout

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,912 ✭✭✭✭gormdubhgorm

Jayus Selby's long pot success is only 1 in 10 for this session.

And JV builds it up and Selby plays safe.

    Classic Virgo.

Great pot Murphy a 40 ish break would do.

I find Hendry is best commentating with a jokey 'mouth' co-comm. Good mixture.

God almighty, and they call Selby made of granite.....

I know he has to go for everything at this stage - but Murphy is just ice-cool!
