    It was crazy yesterday.

The Feltrim Road through Kinsealy has become much busier in recent years. Will be interesting to see when things open up fully in a few months.

Probably doesn't help having limited capacity on public transport

We went to Howth on Wednesday and it was so packed, it was like a Sunday. People are on the move now the 5km limit has been lifted, and more people are going places during the week than before the pandemic.

    Same as Baskin Lane

There's a large development about to start across from the church there at Olaves

The council have decided there is no need for a relief road from Baskin Lane to Malahide Road... Happy out to keep funneling all the traffic into one junction.

    Geniuses

Yeah cannot help we have been getting away with traffic during the pandemic.

Loads of new traffic lights up which all affect traffic flow, along with a tonne of new houses out this way in recent years, means its going to get alot worse one back to "normal"

Yeah we were stuck on baskin lane for at least 30 mins Saturday afternoon. First big weekend after lockdown. Hopefully won’t happen again too regularly.

Correct in saying lots of new traffic lights installed, what is wrong with the councils putting so many lights in, do they not think that people can walk 100yards to traffic lights. The UK a few years ago reduced the number of lights in a area were traffic congestion was bad which in return contributed to high levels of toxic fumes and guess what, no more congestion, maybe our councils can look outside the box and do something similar, all that is happening when these extra lights are installed is more build up of traffic which in turn contributes to higher levels of pollution. L

    I live around there.

I can tell you, we need all of those traffic lights. And we're campaigning for further traffic calming measures.

Not everyone is fit and able to walk 100 yards in two directions to cross a road. Someone sitting down in their comfy car can wait perfectly well an extra 30 seconds at lights to avoid a pensioner or wheelchair user having to do a 200 yard trip that will take a good deal longer than 30 seconds.

Anytime olddog, in fairness if people are that bad on there feet 50yards or 100yards is not going to make any difference

Yes, people in wheelchairs and the elderly are bad on their feet. Pretty deplorable that your suggestion is they should just get a taxi if they want to cross the road.

All this so you'll skip a traffic light and save yourself 30 seconds.

They cyclists will still break them all
and then hog the road in their black see through obesity tights frightening small children and chuffing up the road at 8mph blocking everyone.

So cyclists were the cause of the congestion in North Dublin. Strange that the OP didn't mention that. Here was me thinking it was the usual people in private cars as it is the cause of congestion everywhere else.
