It's nearly half two and I'm more awake now than I usually am during the day... and I have to get up in less than 5 hours because I've to go to the office, which I hate, FFS.

We have a new starter on our team. Same level as me

I asked if she was available to sit with me to do some training and she said she was busy doing online courses on the intranet. She said would be available later this morning. Sure that works for me

She had 3 trips to the canteen by 10:30 for tea and spent most of the morning on her mobile. It was the same last week also

Feeling disrespected. My teammates are at home and I commuted to the office to train and welcome a new team member and is she treating us all as a joke

When my mother was brought into A&E last year I had my sister bring her meds to the hospital. I told the nurses I was giving her the meds she needs. Told them, not asked.

Did all that! The nurses can't give them til they've been charteded by a doctor , what has been given and when has to be recorded for safety reasons. You also have to bear in mind that when someone's condition drastically changes there may be a change in prescription necessary which could contraindicate existing meds, or a med could actually be causing the issue, so a Dr has to review current meds before charting them up. Anyway , it eventually got sorted.

The issue is, of course, how understaffed they are at the moment and the system that doesn't include specified checklists to be completed by specified staff members to ensure these essential matters are attended to in a timely manner. Its dangerous, especially for patients who lack mental capacity.

He's thankfully been admitted to a ward. Three phone calls later and still no further info, just an instruction to call back in an hour each time. They are so overwhelmed. Our hospitals are barely functioning safely and most of that is down to poor management. Serious mistakes and oversights must be a common occurrence. Its not fair on patients or staff who are being reduced to fire fighting emerging situations as best they can.

I go into the shop pick up two drinks and proceed to weave around the maze of stands of confectionery to get to the till. About 4 young individuals early 20’s look at the forming Q and speedily enter via at the ‘exit’ side and directly to the self service tills…they have baskets of shopping…

so I’m in the end Qing for 5 or 6 minutes from arriving instead of being the second person in the Q. And Qing for 1.

a pretty picture when some people are awarded help in difficult times yet proceed to think the world and this country and the people in it owe them to provide everything for them, then we should wait in skipped lines behind them, marvellousness.

A lot of people don’t Q skip…most don’t in fact… ive been using said shop for 3 years without one instance of skipping …I’ve a mouth in my head too , i would certainly have put them right if I’d been at the top of said Q but I’m not in the habit of roaring over several meters and other people to provide lessons to people who obviously didn’t receive said lessons from their mothers. :)
