Hugh O'Sullivan caught badly for try.

With Hawkshaw and HOS at half back, I think the game is a foregone conclusion already.

Looks like the hamstring for Harry Byrne.

Awful shame that. Potential to go all the way to the top but has picked up so many injuries this season.

Enjoying this, oddly the lack of meaning to the match is helping the game and yet the teams are up for it.

So we're gonna draw lots for which one of us covers 10 in La Rochelle.

Kleyn ruck entry from Leinsters side there

Really enjoying the physicality in this already. Great to see.

There's been a lack of Leinster players at the ruck in this game.

Best example just there when Larmour recovered the ball. Hawkshaw had to hit that ruck but he stood off it.

Absolutely woeful stuff from Leinster so far, just letting Munster run riot on our own rucks. HOS is absolutely drowning because of it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

    Dirty from Beirne

Not sure on Toland's commentary there. Yes there are issues at the breakdown, but it looked like HOS just stumbled when looking to pass there rather than being scragged.

So leinsters 4th choice half backs...could be a long night

  • Site Banned Posts: 12,341 ✭✭✭✭Faugheen

How is O'Sullivan supposed to impose himself when Leinster are rucking like that?

He should do better there. He hasn’t had great protection so far but that was poor. Where has the ‘corridor of power’ phrase come from? Is it a Tolandism?

There was a Munster player completely dominating a Leinster counterpart right on top of HOS. It's been the case all half.

Yes, but it didn't look like it was significantly interfering with HOS getting the ball out.

Not sure I’d agree with Toland’s ‘it’s all Munster comment’. They’ve scored a break away try and gotten the best of the physical encounters but haven’t looked like scoring so far. Leinster will be gaining heart from this.

Munster on top here but the backline not converting. Missing a bit of x-factor and flair, Zebo would be making a big difference here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,354 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    I feel for HOS.

He's been thrown in at the deep end due to lack of options and he just isn't good enough.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Munster's discipline and set piece wobbles are keeping Leinster in it. Otherwise it pretty much is all Munster.

    Sh1t game

    Munster discipline killing them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,354 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Leinster player clearly tackled off the ball trying to gather that kick.

  • Site Banned Posts: 12,341 ✭✭✭✭Faugheen

Yeah HOS has no excuse there. Awful pass and not the first one either.

Passing from 9 / 10 costing Leinster a fierce amount.

That’s a sizeable part of the game. Very hard to win games without good discipline and a strong set piece.

Bar a break by DeAllende, Munster have been disappointing. Their skills and handling is poor at this level.

    Awful kick from Murray

"Huge difference in Leinster in a few weeks".

No sh*t, Toland. What could possibly be different?

It's a very disjointed game, too stop/start and so many basic errors on both sides

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

That's not a knock on. Ball was ripped

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,721 ✭✭✭clsmooth

Why use ROL on the crash ball each time? Need to get Lowe into the game from first phase.

He's just not up to it anymore sadly. I'm a big fan of his, but Casey's time is now. Not in a season or two, now.

That drop onto the boot Ringrose been doing this year not been serving him well at all. Double whammy there with penalty conceded

Don't think that's the intention. Just ball so slow gets defence in top of him

Munster are fired up for this contest!

Would like to see that Ed Byrne ruck entry again

I would get Ryan and Baird off asap. Ringrose also. No point in picking up more injuries. Frawley is having a mare with injury! His season has been a mess.
I hope that Hawkshaw gets on well. But, with a poor 9 beside him!

That's a yellow at least for Archer.

    Can't ruck like that anymore.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,366 ✭✭✭yerrahbah

    Archer is gone

    James Ryan haha

Archer has been a ****ing penalty machine for the majority of his career. Tonight no different.

    He's an absolute liability.

Not a first from Archer in a Leinster Munster derby. Didn't he see red for doing that to Dave Kearney before?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,752 ✭✭✭degsie
