Archer has been a ****ing penalty machine for the majority of his career. Tonight no different.

    He's an absolute liability.

The daft thing is as well on his first attempt when he joined the ruck he was stomping all over his teammates ankle

Not a first from Archer in a Leinster Munster derby. Didn't he see red for doing that to Dave Kearney before?

Can't forget John Hayes throwing his toys out the Oran at Munster getting hammered and stamping on Healy's head.

First time I can remember POM influencing a Munster/Leinster game in a good while.

Should be red given the standard of reds these days.

POM really is very hard to like. There is no arguing for that, just take your medicine

To be fair there’s no big screen so he didn’t actually see it.

    Bloody fool Archer

Instead of penalty Munster, now it's 10 mins in the bin

Reward for Ryan being wrong side but Archer needs to know better

He never has though. His performance tonight is consistent for him.
Just another reason why we don't deserve silverware at the mo.

Sounds Munsters indiscipline and mistakes again but happy with the scoreline so far

Leinster knock ons don't count so

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,354 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

We're in the position Munster have been in a lot of times in this fixture recently. Getting knocked back in the tackle and flinging the ball wide in the hopes the backs magic something from nothing.

Nothing wrong with that ffs. The issue is that byrne leg was caught in the ruck when he was cleared out

Ah it was a shoulder charge at the ruck with no wrap. It's a penalty in open open.

Did you post about De Allendes mazy run that led to our try by any chance?

    Very poor miss from Hawkshaw.

We've been poor all over. Very much what you expected going into this game. A much more experienced Munster taking the game to a relatively inexperienced Leinster pack.

Inverse of the last game - Munster all over them but keeping them in with errors. Physicality through the roof.

He had the arm tucked. Byrne on his knees at the ruck too for whatever reason.

Huge miss, going in only 4 down at half time would've been a massive positive given the performance so far.

Can't see it getting any better in the second half, especially given the bench now.

I missed the start, was Doris withdrawn in the warmup?

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,721 ✭✭✭clsmooth

Really disappointed with Munster so far. Toland has been talking them up about how dominant they’ve been but but they’ve done little in attack for all their supposed dominance. Their discipline has been terrible. Leinster are there for the taking with that half pack pairing. I’d say Leo Cullen would be reasonably happy at half-time.

Nope but quality try in fairness

    He's playing very well today

Poor enough from Munster so far.

    Lineout has been iffy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

But how?? How else is he supposed to clear the man. His left arm is up and hits with his shoulder on his opponents chest/shoulder. Looks much worse as players leg was caught in the ruck.

Even if he had his right arm up in the clear out it wouldn’t have effected it!

Stupid from Archer to continue to kick backwards but also cynical from Ryan to just lie there. Had to be a punishment for that part also. Archer didn’t really have many more options to try clear him out. Even the old school rucking didn’t work

Munsters game to lose. Leinster offering little in possession and whilst defending with intent the gaps are appearing when Munster hold onto the ball.

Not all that impressed with Carberry - think Munster would be further ahead with Ross Byrne at the helm.

No, injured during the captains run... hopefully just a tight hammy

Himself and Frawley pulled for precaution supposedly.

Hard to see us winning anything if we're struggling against basically the leisnter reserves

Might be a blessing in disguise the South African clubs won't be playing the NH teams this year. They could be another level

    Yep.

Frawley too. Hawkshaw came into the 23 at the last moment and 5 minutes into the game to replace an injured Harry Byrne.

Murray has had a number of errors

Don't think leinster 2 has thrown a straight one yet. He is doing the old obvious trick of stepping his side and throwing. Amazed it hasnt been called. Leinster jumpers all catching it on their own side.
