Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm looking at a couple of cars which are on sale at Hertz car sales. They look good, the price/spec seems right but wondering about after sales or warranty. Anyone bought from them ?

Probably get a better response on the motoring forum. Hertz have 4 other sites in Ireland.

You should enquire service history. The cars they sell tend to have higher than average mileage.

As someone who has driven a lot of hire cars down through the years I'd never buy a second hand hire car, definitely not a manual anyway, an automatic might be safer.

Yeah totally agree about the automatic. With a manual, the gearbox and engine will have been abused by rental customers unfamiliar with manual transmissions. At least with an automatic, the car protects itself to a certain degree.
