Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

IMO the reason Ole hasn't made any subs is because he hasn't a clue what subs to make, he won't take his golden boy off
He'd prob have to change the formation too

Sh*tting myself. We can’t let this go to penalties

I think Donny will be the first to come on, for Rashford or Cavani depending on the latters energy level.

    Amad for Rashford?
I'm scratching my head here for alternatives

Possibly yeah and Fred for Pogba

His blind spot for Rashford and Martial is bizarre. Let's not kid ourselves, Martial probably starts CF if he wasn't injured.

The only thinking behind Rashford staying on has to be that he is capable of a moment of magic!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,006 ✭✭✭beno619

For all the abuse Rashford is getting is it possible that he's come up against a really well drilled defense ?

Cavani has done feck all (great movement for the goal) and Greenwood has had a quite second half.

Can’t see those happening because they’re part of your first three penalty takers

I hope he's not just keeping Rashford on for penalties. The way he's played I'll be hiding behind the couch.

Statistically Da gae is due 5 penalty saves.

His first touch has been dreadful as well as his decision making.

His mistakes haven't been enforced by the opposition.

The time wasting from Villarreal has been shocking. The officials have been useless.

Oles Achilles heel again with no subs. Rashford has been beyond useless and yet is still out there.

They are playing for peons. If they get a break or a set piece they’ll chance it. Otherwise penos is their game plan all the way.

Not a hope we win a shootout.

Ole has to get some fresh legs on there. Like Cavani is putting Rashford to shame with his work rate alone.

McTominay Utds motm over the 90. Bruno barely had a kick and has been ineffective when he has.

Pogba gone missing as well. No surprise.

How has Rashford got 90 minutes out there?

Get Mata on last 15 mins.

He's always good with a penalty, if nothing else.

Not making excuses for him, but I think he’s carrying something. If he is then it’s more reason for him to be taken off.

He definitely is. His back has been at him for ages.

I think he deserves a run out tonight but it should have been from the bench.

Foyth is having a stormer imo, that doesn't totally absolve Rashford but Villarreal are defending very well.

This game is crying out for Mata, he has consistently had the vision to pick a pass against packed defences and Edi has the cuteness to pick up those positions.

And he took a decent pen at the weekend

The opposition has nothing to do with being a lazy fck and strolling around the pitch. It’s a european final ffs

If it does go to Penalties you definitely wouldn't want Pogba slow running up to one.

Cavani versus Rashford perfectly summed up there.

2 Villarreal players on the ground, Cavani rushes to take the throw to send Rashford down the line and take advantage, and Rashford just standing there.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,924 ✭✭✭KH25

    Capoue should be off.

Ole showing serious lack of balls here. Really disappointing to see.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,461 ✭✭✭✭Zeek12

He's keeping Rashford on for the probable shootout you'd have to assume - he takes a pretty decent pen in fairness.

That the only possible reason I can see.....

  • Registered Users Posts: 353 ✭✭numbnutz

their fresh legs are beginning to show now....Ole...subs now

    James and donny needed

But who does he take off? With pens nearing the only players I see him taking off are McTominay and Greenwood

Rashford is dropping deep, playing like Sanchez did for United. Should be pushing up taking on Foyth. Don't understand these tactics.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,667 ✭✭✭Whatsisname

The players on the bench might not have some of the talent as the 11 on the pitch but they have 5 players fitter than us right now, that’ll be our undoing unless they beat us on pens instead.

I've seen him chasing after the ball tonnes today, it's actually hilarious to hear the lazy tag being associated to him.

This is looking ominous. If I can see it surely Ole can too.

    Oh Fred is on.

That’s a nonsense sub. Greenwood has been playing well.

    Take Rashford off.

Fred - who is apparently not fully fit?

    Very strange sub
