Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

We should be running at these constantly some of them will end up on a red.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,490 ✭✭✭skinny90

Yeah he need more running. It’s very congested in midfield

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,667 ✭✭✭Whatsisname

James is getting kicked to bits.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,288 ✭✭✭fatherted1969

Plenty of cards here, Leeds will be lucky to finish with 11. Fred is brutal again

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,258 ✭✭✭✭y0ssar1an22

rashford is due a goal from one of these at some stage

    goes close but no cigar

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,292 ✭✭✭Adamocovic

Great free kick by Rashford and a good save.

Still think he hasn’t gotten a hold of the game and would like to see Cavani and Donny come on to inject something different.

Can understand keeping Rashford out there though as he always is a threat to score

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,667 ✭✭✭Whatsisname

Maguire with the customary header over the bar.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,292 ✭✭✭Adamocovic

    Dan James looking lively.

It’s a weird one for him. Has a reputation of going down easy but does get fouled a lot.

Was a clear foul where he was just hacked down for the Rashford free and Leeds were going on like he dived.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,461 ✭✭✭✭Zeek12

That was a very sluggish first half.
    From both sides.

Need Pogba and Cavani on in the 2nd half to inject some life and quality

Yeah Leeds are playing differently to how we would have expected. Means James probably isn't as needed and Pogba on would make more sense.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,383 ✭✭✭S.M.B.

Not much more than a few "nearly" moments in that half.

Rashford as good as anyone on the pitch imo, every week he seems to get singled out for some reason.

I’d like to see Donny out there but probably wishful thinking.

It’s the sort of game, with a semi final upcoming and towards end of the season, that felt perfect to give him a chance. But no dice.

It's weird to me. He hasn't been great for a while but nobody has really. He is still as likely as anyone else in the squad to do something to break the deadlock

He's definitely one who doesn't get frees as easy as others. Think he was booked for 'diving' in some of his early games for us as well.

He's fast, light and has a habit of running into people so tends to go down a lot.

I’m not having a pop or regularly do, love Rashford but he doesn’t seem to be getting into the game that great in my mind. Not the only one.

Just holding onto the ball too long and running into trouble. Credit to Ayling also for marking him tight but I’d like to see a change up for the second half.

Bruno also hasn’t exactly found his feet in the game.

Just feels like you could apply that to our front 4.

Rashford's run in behind the defence appear to be as good as any outlet so far.

I'm not sure Donny makes much of an impact. Cavani or an advanced Pogba would give us some form of focal point.

Oh you could say that for most alright.

Maybe I just hold Rashford to higher standards, price of being good.

Anyway let’s see what second half has in store.

    Complete miscommunication. Can happen though.

Bruno usually tucks those away. Another big chance.

This is all a bit meh, isn't it.

The sooner fans are back the better, these kind of games and next week too, are poor imitations without them.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,292 ✭✭✭Adamocovic

    Wasteful by James

you can tell by the lack of activity on thread. meh describes it perfectly, no energy

You’d normally hope that a team playing like this would get tired and we could exploit them towards the end but Bielsa focus on fitness so much I don’t have that feeling they will take the foot off.

    leeds fairly cynical here

and just as i say that maguire takes out roberts

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,258 ✭✭✭✭y0ssar1an22

come on ole and make a few subs

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,408 ✭✭✭fergiesfolly

James has done ok today, but I think it's time to swap him out for the guile of Cavani

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,383 ✭✭✭S.M.B.

    Cavani for James please.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,951 ✭✭✭The Big Easy

How Pogba isn't on the field here I don't know?!

Ole back to not making changes when they're clearly needed.

Edit: here he comes, I prefer changes around the 60 mark if it's clearly not working.

    Henderson loves the cap

James has been good but Pogba on for him is the right move I think

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,345 ✭✭✭✭PARlance

15-20 mins... Cutting it fine Ole

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,667 ✭✭✭Whatsisname

Pogba wearing gloves in 13 degrees :pac:

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,292 ✭✭✭Adamocovic

Alioski would make a good Bond villain

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,951 ✭✭✭The Big Easy

Has Edi told Ole he doesn't fancy it today or something?

Edit: No, just Ole taking his time again!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,345 ✭✭✭✭PARlance

Coming on now. Way too slow with the subs today

I did think Leeds had signed Dolph Lundgren at the start alright.

Probably his worst trait as a manager

Can be slow for our liking but his subs are having more of an impact than any other teams this season.

Suppose to be expected from the super sub.

    what a comment from carragher

never heard a commentator so fed up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,667 ✭✭✭Whatsisname

    Lol at Carragher.

"This games been awful, hasn't it? jeeesus."

Ridiculous really... Terrible game, leaving James on for 75mins when we never looked like scoring.

And Donny is coming on now for a few minutes.

Yeah, very much so. 3 points are there for the taking. Just needed to freshen up with 20 minutes to go. Still time.

90 mins of our lives we won't get back.

I'll take it, Leeds are a tricky side and have done well against the big boys.
