Set pieces and playing out from the back have been a consistent problem all season. 3 goals conceded this evening that way.

Get Rashford off ta fcuk and let Mason have a crack, he can't do any worse.

What the fcuk is Shaw at.

Hopefully that settles the Henderson DDG debate for Ole. Shocking from Henderson, not a Utd no1.

It doesn’t settle anything. Do we decide De Gea isn’t good enough the next time he has a howler? I’m not saying Henderson is the answer but like if we are going on mistakes made as a barometer there’s a fair few to catch up.

This is painful to watch but maybe it’s better it happens now when it doesn’t really matter to us other then damaging Pools chances of getting top 4. Also highlights what we all know, that the Squad needs additions

No harm in a reality check before the summer in case people think we'll magically have a title challenge next season. Still a good bit off it and wise summer crucial.

Henderson is nervous but would ddg have done any better in the same situation without McGuire ?

Did De Gea and Maguire join the club together?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,928 ✭✭✭dubmick

Matic for Fred & Greenwood for Rashford please

This game was always going to be bigger for Liverpool.

Playing such a weak side against Leicester looks a huge mistake now.

The way we're defending we'll lose to Fulham and Wolves and end up third.
It wasnt a mistake to play that team against Leicester. Playing the same players twice in 48 hours is guaranteed to lead to injuries. Player welface dictated that line up.

One thing I never want to see after this season is McFred in midfield again. Sick to death of two average players playing one position badly

Painful watching us trying to play out from the back.

    Hardly.

I’d imagine the same slating Henderson saying he’s not good enough based off that mistake are the ones who wanted De Gea gone for Lindegaard back in those days.

If we sell Henderson there is no doubt in my mind he’s going to come back to haunt us by moving to another big team.

It’s not like De Gea hasn’t made any mistakes. If we lose this first premier league loss for us with Henderson starting.

Hardly screams a keeper not ready.

Unfortunately going by the evidence tonight the best available 1st XI players are heads are in the Europa final and downing tools until then is on show

    Fred having an absolute mare.

He’s in good company to be fair, I wouldn’t be singling him out, most of them have been poor.

We didn't need to play such a weak side against an out of form Leicester. We could have put the game to bed early and had the 3 points in the bag.

Our defence is horrific at the moment. Hard to see us getting anything but two more losses in the league after tonight, it's underage level defending.

    Glazers Out!

Wouldn't give up on Scottie, he's going through a little rough patch though

Make a change. We’re being overrun and our midfield is non-existent.

Get the protesters onto the pitch now, get this game called off. :)

Not really, they are playing for a CL spot, we realistically have nothing to play for. Still doesn't excuse how absolutely septic we have been.

There's a fair few world class performances to catch up on Henderson's side. DDG was world class for years and although not at his best the last couple of years his below par game is still better then Henderson's and even then he can have absolutely world class matches like away to Roma.

Henderson has yet to put in a peak DDG display and DDG is still capable of them.

I’ve been guilty of getting a bit carried away about this team and the quality due to results and the mentality of the side.

Tonight has shown a huge disparity between genuine quality players and a team capable of a genuine title shot.

Started off good but it’s been pretty pathetic. CM/DM lacking an incredible amount.

Defensively a shambles tonight. Maguire a loss but still not perfect with him.

It is a pity the Utd players couldn't step it up for this match.

Every one of our players is having a stinker.

The first 30 minutes feel a long way off.

It's like Liverpool were playing rope a dope, they were dreadful for the first half hour.

And they will have a fully fit VVD.

This will be Liverpool next season. They will do what Chelsea did when they won league, finished 10th, and then won league. Pool will bounce back next season and we will struggle to get higher then 3rd without some serious additions.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,951 ✭✭✭The Big Easy

Maybe Maguire isn't a big lumbering lummox after all!

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,292 ✭✭✭Adamocovic

I like the intentions but we aren’t up to speed to play it out of the back right now against Liverpool.

    Just playing into their hands

This may be a blessing in disguise. Lots of them being shown up as nowhere near good enough at highest level.

This Manchester United side is thoroughly devoid of character and will let you down every time.

Dreading the Europa league final now, not to mention the last two league games.

It's relatively easily brushed off as end of season, fixture congestion, nothing to play for even though it's Liverpool, so not sure how much difference it'll make although I agree it should.

Who’d have known that Maguire was the man holding it all together all along.

It’s not really. Will be forgotten about when we finish second and the problems will surface again eventually.
