    Next up we move to

The What A Rush Award (Tag Team of the Year)

Hotly contested award this year which is evident in the votes....

In Joint 3rd Place with 5 points EACH

    Briscoes (Necro)/Can-Am Express (Mr. Guappa)/New Samoans(wrestlemaniac)/Fabulous Freebirds(Mr. Guappa)/

Two teams for Mr G here, my own Briscoes and a newly formed team of wrestlemaniacs all garnered top spot by various voters.

In 2nd Place with 7 Points

    Road Warriors (Mr.Nice Guy)

    tumblr_n64mk52f3c1r89qoso1_500.gif

Somewhat fittingly The Road Warriors who coined the catchphrase of this award get some love as well, well done MNG!

AND IN JOINT 1ST place with 11 points EACH

    New Age Outlaws (Bounty Hunter)

    tumblr_pgie07vQGo1xpp27no1_400.gifv

    AND

The World’s Greatest Tag Team (Mr.Nice Guy)

    tenor.gif?itemid=16573745

Two of our draft veterans share top spot with two brilliant teams. Billy Gunn retains his top spot after winning it with Chuck last year. Great use of both teams, well done to BH and MNG on their first slammy of the year.

Let's move onto one of our new awards this year, shall we?

    Heath Slater (beakerjoe)
    Hollywood John Cena (beakerjoe)

beaker with some nice repackaging of Heath Slater and John Cena garnering him some love. I also gain a few votes for Baron Corbin's reimagining as a member of the new Cabinet. Cheers for the votes :)

Glad I havent missed this, wasnt expecting it so early.

Well done White Wolf. Great work.

Happy to see WGTT get the win. They got my vote and had an excellent story arc with Von Erichs and played a part in the finale. Well done MNG

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 51,523 Mod ✭✭✭✭Necro

In 3rd place with 5 points

    ‘Big Greggy’ Valentine (Necro)

R-Truth's tag team partner gave me a few votes to earn a podium spot, thanks again :D

In 2nd place with 7 points

    Ricky Steamboat (Mr.Nice Guy)

Ricky Steamboat's heel turn counts as a repackage in my eyes anyways, wasn't he a face most of his career? Anyways others agreed and earns MNG another podium position here.

And in 1st place, our overwhelming winner of this inaugural award…

    With 17 points in total

    Fake News Barrett (wrestlemaniac)

    240m657.gif

A simply brilliant concept by one of our newcomers, very well deserved slammy if I do say so myself. Congrats wrestlemaniac.

The draft mimics real life here and gains MNG a podium position.

In Second Place with 15 points

Another shocking end to a PPV here with Darby Allin being screwed out of the World Title in a shocking twist

Jon Moxley costs WALTER the BCW Title (beakerjoe)

A third slammy in a row for beaker with the shocking twist at the end of his PPV grabbing the most votes.

Well done BH, Dana v Vince was the spine of your show and you did a good job of making Dana sympathetic.

Next Up we honour those picks who we might not value at the time of drafting but it all begins to make sense once the write-ups are posted....

    Sherri Martel (The White Wolf)

    aYuFjpZ.gif?noredirect

In Second Place with 8 points

    The Ultimate Warrior (Uncle Walt)

    source.gif

Probably not so much for how he was used these votes but in picking up Warrior in *checks notes* ROUND 7 of the Draft, a fabulous pick at that late stage by Walt

And in FIRST Place with 10 points

    Stu Hart (Mr. Guappa)

    tumblr_n8rvzj88Zr1sj4xr4o1_500.gifv

A first slammy for Mr Guappa and a very well earned one with his Hart Family being a key component for GWA this year. Congrats!

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 22,746 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

If I didn’t get Dana or Dan white as he was called in the list of picks in the OP I wouldn’t have gone in even nearly the same direction with my roster.

Stu was a well deserved winner, played a pivotal role despite being someone that isn’t always drafted.

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,753 ✭✭✭✭beakerjoe

Well done Mr G. Stu Hart was so well presented and it was hard not to see the ruthless bastard I read about in Brets book. Great job and such a late pick too.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 51,523 Mod ✭✭✭✭Necro

Moving on to the factions throughout the write-ups, some great efforts indeed...
