So here we have a thread on why 20 senior higg ranking French army officers do a martin luther on the french government in relation to what they see as the dilution of their culture and their nations values of equality and fraternity and in opposition to the tolerance of Islamic violence and Islamic laws - and in 25 pages of this thread we have had cartoon humour and monthy python anti french hte.

Small wonder the generals are writing open letters.

In Ireland today we currently have over 730 girls and children mutilated for life by barbaric religious practices which were done by radicals imported into this country with only one prosecution. We have the UK where there are now towns with dominant muslim populations where sharia practices and punishments (‘law’) are being treated as law by the police athorities and wimen being burned alive, mutilated, and ‘honour’ killed - and little said and less outrage.

Small wonder those in France who will be called in to put their lives down to protect others are calling out those responsible for enforcing the laws and protecting administratively their citizens to stop ignoring the problem and act to protect their freedoms and citizens.

Lions lead by donkeys springs to mind - the citizens and their elected ‘leaders’.

Where do you get the figures of 750 mutilated girls, and where did you see reports of women being burned to death with ‘little said and less outrage’

And in Tuam you have the bodies of eight hundred babies dumped in a cess pit by another religious group. I don't recall your outrage about this.

That wasn't today or yesterday though. One religion has been forced to move along with the times while even criticising the other might end in your head being cut off on the street. In 2021. In western Europe.

Also there were some bog bodies found which had evidence of ritualistic execution by pagans. Where was his outrage on that.

Why can’t we just end the culture wars. There are criminal offenses that cover pretty much every act of violence. Treat every one the same and prosecute any violent criminals to the fullest extent of the law

The only reason sadists in the Catholic Church have been curtailed is because the laws changed to outlaw corporal punishment and false imprisonment and discriminatory practices, and those laws were implemented

We already have laws against FGM and terrorism, so we need to implement them and treat the criminals as criminals and let the ordinary people live their lives in peace

the OP said they're retired, so technically do they even have a rank?

anyway, nothing says 'finger on the pulse of culture' like hearing an opinion from a retired general. maybe i'm biased, the two senior retired army officers i've known were both dull blowhards with a massively overflated sense of their own opinion.

The growth in these and other attacks has trended in line with the growth of social media.

The growth in these and other attacks trended much more fundamentally in line with the growth of the Muslim population in France and elsewhere.

Clever people solve problems, wise people avoid them altogether. European governments have not been wise as regards immigration, they are finding it difficult to even be clever. They have been greedy and naive.

Islam has never been in a position to destabilise modern Europe simply because it was not here with a sufficient foothold. Since people are the carriers of ideology, it has its foothold now, through mass immigration, and making its presence felt in societally ruinous ways.

It already makes its play for dominance. The most frightening aspect of this problem is that we are only at the early stages of this emergence.

All is not well in the state of France.

What the old generals perceive is an attack on the soul of France, and of Europe itself, by Islamism and its erstwhile progressivist allies. They call for resistance, for self-defense, for self-preservation. I believe their thoughts reflect the feelings of the largely silent majority within the French nation and other indigenous European nations. Silenced by new dogmas enforced with increasing severity by a political and media elite which are drastically detached from their own nations, so enthralled they are by supranational, corporate and NGO interests.

The letter is stunning in its courage.

Demographics are destiny. Through the mistakes made and crimes committed around mass immigration in the last few decades, Western Europe has condemned itself to generations of religious conflict, ethnic strife and societal upheaval.

Ireland will not be an untouched observer in this.

I ‘might’ be hit on the head by a meteorite while out for a walk

I ‘might’ also be beaten up by a neo nazi who believes himself to be a conservative Christian

Neither are very likely, and I’m equally as unafraid of having my head cut off by an Islamic terrorist

The culture wars as you put it is a different culture entering into Europe and European culture. Like an invasive species. The French generals are concerned
Europeans and the individual culture of European countries are important and will not just roll over.

The biggest risk to European democracy IMO, is not the rise of Islamic fundamentalism, it’s the rise of reactionary right wing fascism who will use immigration as propaganda and turn people against each other. The Nazis did it using a tiny Jewish minority as a scapegoat, they’re trying it again but this time with Islam as the scapegoat

Well seeing as this isn’t the thread on it you wouldn’t. But as always - apologists and anti catholic haters everywhere.

Don’t stop the burning alive of young girls in the Uk, Hate and ao called honour killings, shariha law being facilitated in some major towns and urban areas by the uk govt as reported on the bbc. And the figures for NEW female genital
mutilation and lifelong mutilation of girls vaginas are from even rte reports based on hse findings - and we know what contempt they hold the truth in -especially for womens health.

Ay least someone in authority is speaking out to protect citizens and put them first. Unlike the liberal left. Charlie Hedro anyone. Oh I forgot - our concert halls are not being shot up and our reporters and gaurds offices are not being stalked by fundamentalists and them being knifed to death as they go into work so thats ok. In France every evening after the news they show pictures of the jouralists missing, killed or kidnapped in their line of duty/work - reporting on atrocities. They’re not reporting from catholic countries. Now they can’t even speak or report from
their own country without fear of death threats or f’ing BEHEADING.

Stop the planet, I need to get off for a bit.

Didn't the Nazi's wrongly blame the Jews because of an under performing economy post WW1 .Made them the scape goat.

You are picking an event in history that has no comparison to now.

I can choose a random timeline and link it also

I"slam gained its first genuine foothold in continental Europe from 711 onward, with the Umayyad conquest of Hispania. ... Muslim forces under the Aghlabids conquered Sicily after a series of expeditions spanning 827–902, and had notably raided Rome in 846. The Emirate of Sicily was established in 965"

    It never ended

Every single person who takes a blade to a healthy child’s genitals should be prosecuted. Anyone who facilitates this practice should be imprisoned in my opinion

The vast majority of Muslim girls in Ireland do not suffer FGM, it’s a barbaric act committed by a minority of a minority. The vast majority of Irish people would fully support any legal action to prosecute these people

730 NEW cases reported in the past 2 years and now being treated in Ireland - only one prosecution. And thats ONLY the ones they happened to find out about. 730+.

Revolting. And being facilitated and hidden away in case files and anonymity. De-sexed girls who will have sexual issues and remain mutilated for life. What are these barbarians doing being allowed live here and practice this filth. And its NOT a catholic act. And its incompatible with our way of life of BASIC expectations for a child or baby. This is exactly the kind of issue the French are railing against - the governments softly softly apologist facilitation of these alien and barbaric practices and beliefs - and no balls to stand up for what is right or to protect the innocent.

Nah. The biggest threat to European democracy are the political elite who have gradually eroded the power of the electorate, while increasing the scope of changes they can implement without the direct consent of the electorate. A token gesture to an election cycle as a way of showing displeasure, but which doesn't truly affect the political parties, or the agendas they pursue.. especially when most of the political groups are walking parallel on certain topics.

The topic of immigration is a perfect example of this, because for two decades, political groups throughout Europe, sought to proclaim how wonderful it was to be diverse, while sacrificing the needs of natives so that foreign groups could be cared for better. (but ensuring that the migrants groups mostly ended up at the bottom of society, to expand the underclass that was dependent on the State for provision)

Fascism is the boogeyman of Europe. It's a known threat, and it's doubtful that it will accomplish anything of note beyond being used as spur for reasonable people to vote for the mainstream parties. And even if it did, modern fascism wouldn't be the same as what was shown in WW2. It will have evolved to match a different set of desires, and more likely will have a greater focus on nationalism, and isolation, as opposed to any kind of murderous desire for racial purity.

Anyway.. Islam isn't the scapegoat. Immigration and all the stresses associated with it are. Islam is a secondary issue.

Of course, it is under attack.

Its just that the attack is coming from American inspired Identity politics, and apologists. Immigration just compounds the problem because it further increases the divides that identity politics creates.

You have already brought up the Nazis which proves the point.

Possibly. Although a lot of people are simply concerned with Islam, and the practices of Muslims in Europe... as opposed to being concerned with racial purity.

It does't have to be one or the other. There's a lot of people who are concerned...

Absolutely. We've seen this movie before. And look how the subsequent century turned out for America. Absolute disaster. Hordes of uneducated Irish with their nasty Catholic religion immigrating and taking jobs from the natives and creating no go zones in Boston and parts of New York. Having tens of children with their oppressed bare foot wives too. Let's riot to stop them!

Ah yes. Back in the mid 1800s. The exact same.

A theme is emerging. Always looking to the past instead of looking at what is coming down the line
